I've been thinking about about the prophecy (and reading The Unofficial Guide to Harry Potter 😮 ) But in that book the say something about why they think Nevill's memory is so bad. They think that when Nevills parents were being tortured, they might have used a memory charm on Nevill, but as he was a baby, it damaged his memory making him forgettful. The mark would be Nevills lost memory, not a scar.
But my issue with my theory (Yes I have a lot of time on my hands, its summer!) is that it wasn't Voldermort who did it to Nevill, it was his followers, so I don't know if that counts. . .
I know a lot of people think that the halfblood prince might be tom riddle because at the time he wasn't voldemort, but in the second book it's mentioned how even when he was at hogwarts, he was having some people call him voldemort, and if it's not gonna be voldemort than how could it be him? I know that in the 2nd book Dobby was saying it wasn't he-who-must-not-be-named, and then it was Tom Riddle. I dont think she would do the same basic thing twice. Idk, it makes complete sense in my head, but i cant really write it down.
well..i understand why you guys think the HBP is tom riddle...cuz in some aspects it makes sense, but to me it still seems like a technicality...tom not really being voldy...so i don't know, cuz if its not him, i have no clue who it would be! but my first reaction is still to say it wouldn't be tom....but finding out the title has made me even more excited for book six...i don't know if i can handle the wait!

The information she is going to place in 6xth book was first placed in the 2nd book. But then she removed it from CoS and therefore renamed it as she thought the real place for that information would be the 6xth book.
Tom Riddle is Voldemort. That doesnt matter that in CoS Voldemort was Tom Riddle as a memory. Dont you remember that Dumbledore still calls him Tom?

Maybe it was possible that Tom Riddle is related to Lily & the Evans'. And someone from Lily's family had a kid named Mark Evans!
Also I believe this could be true, even though Dumbledore said that Harry had no other family..........well if Riddle was related to the Evans' Dumbledore soley would have known (possibly) therefore he wouldn't want any harm coming to Harry. (B/C his interpretation of the prophecy is that "harry is the one" that will save everyone in the end)
This leaves us with the fact that Dumbledore would not/could not leave Harry with the Evans' b/c it would have made Harry easily accessible to Lord Voldemort! (Maybe Voldemort's Mother and Lily were sisters) Lily had to have been a relative b/c JK has written that Voldemort hesitated or something.... we know that for some reason he didn't want to kill her. (Probably didn't want to kill Harry either but he was thinking of only himself) Why? Because she was family. OR what if Lily was his sister? A sister-brother bond is closer than a cousin bond....... *thinking now*
That is my theory on the HBP and I firmly believe it is Mark Evans, especially if he is placed in Slytherin. We'll have to read extra carefully when the names are read in Book 6 at the sorting ceremony.
Also Neville & Harry could have gotten mixed up. What if Harry is full blood and Neville is half. I don't remember reading anything solid about it all...............
I think the Mark Evans theory ties into the HUGE thing about Lily that we are supposed to find out. It makes sense that she is related to Voldemort.
Maybe there is something in the dream that he has in COS about the Riddle's.
ALSO...JUST THOUGHT OF THIS...WHAT IF THE SOMETHING SMALL IN BOOK 2 HAS TO DO WITH VOLDEMORT MENTIONING KILLING LILY AND NOT WANTING TO DOWN IN THE CHAMBER. THIS COULD VERY WELL TIE EVERYTHING TOGETHER............................(THAT I SAID ABOVE)
I think that mark evans is the halfblood prince. It must be important otherwise Jk would'nt have written the full name in the book. and remember his mother (harrys) was called lily evans and mark calles also evans i think harry and mark are relativs and mark will go to hogwarts and i think he'll be the halfblood prince and he'll help harry and i think it would be a great story because until now harry had no relativs except for the dursleys ... 😘
