Inferno; Mission 1

WHOA WHOA WHOA! Now Psylocke is supposedly controlling a whole crowd of violent and/or terrified people, likely numbering in the hundreds?? The Professor couldn't even do that. And a telepathic illusion isn't like a hologram, you don't just wrap yourself in an image, you go into each person's mind and force them to see what you want them to. The image inducer may not calm down everyone, but it's a lot more realistic than a mid level telepath like Psylocke communicating with possibly hundreds of people at once.

Wolverine, Black Cat, Beast the former AVENGER, and Nightcrawler looking like Captain America would be easily recognizable as superheroes. The mere presence of a super hero group in a crowd would be enough to calm the fearful people and keep potential rioters from acting out.

Riiight, and then he shatters his own skeleton, while all the people he shot who had healing factors get up and kick the lump of flesh who shot them.

You're right, Khell.

Even if it werent violence (which it is) psylock isnt powerful enough to do it.

An image inducer is 100% violence free, and totally something that could be pulled off by one person.

Capt. America is like M. Ali to americans in marvel, they all respect him and love him.

Who is going to act up when something compaired to a superpowered S.W.A.T team is around?

Scoob doesnt seem to realize there isnt anything TM can do to DS and or half the BadGuy team that they cant take.

Taskmaster is a weak character, hell his main villian is a normal human lady! a no name! and he wasnt even good enough to kill her in his own series!

Half our team has some sort of healing factor, thats a huge advantage.

😆
Yup. Half our team has healing factors, one has some of the best body armor imaginable, and another has a small superhero team's worth of powers to use in her defense.

And I have guns and don't give a f*ck!!!!!!!

I believe that she is powerful enough to control the crowds. Long Pig, I never said that your opinion was offensive. I really think that quoting fragments of my posts will only get you minus points on the weak/strong link scale. Khellendros, if you think you can win, simply because you find your team to have superior powers, then I think you should think again, because not all of these missions will be battles, and some may not even have to do with the characters at all, but the person portraying them. You also had no response when we stated that we thought that many people in the crowd would not even believe that it was Captain America. I don't think that this is in the Marvel universe, I think this is supposed to take place in the real world.

Image inducer is not standard battle equipment... so i dont know why its even being debated... it shouldnt be allowed...

Your belief is wrong. I'm sorry, but that's just the way it is. The one time Professor X tried anything like it, that I saw, the Xmen were worried he was going to severaly injure himself from the strain. Psylocke is nowhere near his power.

I don't think we can win the entire thing, but I do know that we have this particular fight won. And, why wouldn't they believe it was Captain America? It looks like him, hes hanging out with a former Avenger and other superhero types and trying to calm down the crowd. That's exactly the kind of thing Cap does.

Oh please, Beast and Nightcrawler have both been seen going out with image inducers on tons of times. That's like saying sunglasses or your wallet isn't "standard equipment".

[Punisher]

Nightcrawler uses the inducer whenever he goes in public so he won't scare humans. That's common knowledge to anyone that follows X-Men comics. It's part of his paraphenalia.

Now quoting fragments are bad?
-sigh-
I was only trying to answer you as full as possible, but this is fine.

Even if she was able to mind attack the entire crowd, it doesnt change the fact that its violent.

You didnt say it was offensive, you said she would bite my head off for saying my opinion which to me was implying that it was, in fact, offensive. but this doesnt even matter does it?

I agree with khell, why wouldnt they believe?
Asking "why they wouldnt" makes no sense.

If you see the president on tv do you think to yourself "Heeeey! that could be nightcrawler!! Lets riot!!!"? Hopefully not.

If it is in the real world. Nobody will pay any heed to a comic book persona, because they will think its just a member of some comic book convention.

But it's not. This is a world where comic book characters exist or we wouldn't even be having this debate.

I think vanella is thinking this is being held in the real world, he might be right. Lady hasnt been around much to answer questions.

usually she answers them really quick.

If we have to have it in the real world, none of our powers will work, itll be punisher shooting everyone!

They use it when going out for non combat events, like dates or social events... and nightcrawler very rarely uses one... only in evolution did he use one so consistently...

I've seen NC have it on him numerous times.

This is a social event.

i've also seen him without it numerous times...

and since when is a brawl a social event?

It's already been said 90% of the game isnt a brawl.

I'ts like a game show.
NC would bring it to a game show wouldnt he?

Uhhh, the fact that he carries it around in his day to day life makes it more common equipment, not less.
