^ yeah you're right. you just said what i'm tryin to say.

trekkies need to get a life....

heres a basic question for them......Is it science FICTION or is it science NONFICTION? I think that sums it up.

Yep. Trekkies need to get a grip. Their shit is no more realistic than any other sci-fi.

"But it's based on real principles!"

But it violates science eighty times over before it reaches the floor.

Dude... you have missed the point of EVERTHING I have said... and I am tired of typing it over and over...

I dont know about all those "trekkies" that say that ST is real... but I have never said that. I have however said that a lot of the technology is based off of theoretical science that exists today... Here is how it works...

Scientific theory + some imaginative fiction = Trek...

I would say that 90% of ST is pure fiction.... all the aliens and life forms "evolving in a vacuum" and what not... but there are several key pieces of tech that, like I said before, have a lot of science behind them...

So you can get off of the whole ST is real thing cause I never said that... Go to some other forum that actually has trekkies in it and shoot them..

But like you said... this thread is not about how real the teck is...

YEAH....its about how Star Wars would pwn Star Trek! get it right buddy!..

nah im playing...

Oh yeah... well... well... Riker would just get in the sack with Princess Leia and Worf would make a pet out of Jabba and Wessly Crusher would make gay love to the Emperor and and...

LOL... come to think of it I dont think I have ever brought Wessly Crusher up... He would figure out some way to save the ship when none of the highly trained specialists could... lol...

That pre-pubesant gay wad was probably the one really big thing about ST that I never really liked...

I wasn't targeting you. I was targeting the half dozen other Trek fans who come in here and pretend like Trek = the definate vision of the future. Yes, it has some basic foundations in scientific theory, but the writers aren't scientists, and they botch things ad infinitum and the claim that always seems to make it's way into a Trek fan's post is "Star Trek is more real".

It's ridiculous, and it needed to be debunked. Ignorance is not an excuse for an opinion.

Captain Picard: Number One.
Commander Riker: Yes, Captain.
Captain Picard: Let me ask you something. If I whispered in your ear that Commander Worf's head looks like a fanny, would you join me in a laugh?
Commander Riker: Yeah, I could get in on that.
Captain Picard: All right! Here it comes! (Shouting despite using a whispering gesture) Commander Worf's head looks like a fanny!
(Everyone laughs)
Commander Worf: You can both suck my ridges.
Captain Picard: Oh, get a sense of humour, Rocky Dennis.

Anybody else notice that Wesley's first outfit had rainbow stripes on it?

Dude... I hear ya... and point taken.

Those ubber geek trekkies give us normal supporters a bad name!

Seriously, someone brought that up and I was like "No way. They got away with putting a rainbow stripe on his outfit?" And the show was on Spike tv so I watched it and sure enough...

Wesley's under homo-suspicion.

Hey, I was never against liking the series. I wouldn't know as much about it as I do if I was a hater. But when Trek fans argue from ignorance and make horrible assumptions it just provokes me into action.

Is it an actual rainbow stripe, or just blue, gold and red? If it's just the three colors, then it could've been to signify that he (and others wearing that uniform) hadn't decided which section of starfleet he (they) would be specialising in? If I recall, in his cameo in Nemesis, his dress uniform had Command Red on the collar, (as did his TNG uniform) but he was always more an engineer than a pilot...

Yeah, you might be right. But it's still ridiculous.

Q - "I find the Star Wars Universe too dangerous to continue to exist - the punishment: nonexistence"

Yoda - "To destroy us, You do not wish"

Q - To destroy you, I do not wish

Yoda - Destroy the Q you will

Q - Destroy the Q I will. snap

The entire Q continuum ceases to be. lol if anyone on the SW universe was weak minded enough to be affected by the jedi mind trick it was Q (not counting the entire ferengi species of course). All that power and he always seemed such a dolt.

lol

so what happened to wesley....didnt some alien take him away to travel through time or something or was that just suppose to be in his future destiny? Or am I still buzzed from last night...lol
