All Of Star Trek Vs All Of Star Wars

Guilty until proven innocent, eh?

Yes, not everything is said in done because you'd have to find either a hardcore Trek fan willing to debate on a messageboard of 16 year olds on the Star Wars forum or find someone stupid enough to watch and read through about 40 years of episodes, movies, books, comic, and manuals.

I chose to debate time travel because it was a small, reletively contained part of Star Trek history. We debated it until there was nothing else to say about it. Done.

This thread reminds me alot of what a thread like "Mandarin vs Wolverine" would be like on a Wolverine messageboard. They just want to say Wolverine would snikt Mandarin in a hand to hand fight and don't know or care really that Mandarin uses rings that could probably level a city.

Nobody else is going to post? Then I guess the debate is over.

Hooray! Wars Wins.

i was checking out something in the star wars.com databanks when i saw an ad that goes like this: Star Trek 2.0 weeknights at 11pm G4 g4tv.com

WHat the hell was that about? That's either Ironic, or whatever!

here:

Star Trek seems to be as good as anything else to advertise.

Oh no, this won't end. Ever. For now it sleeps and awaits new blood.

It's a never-ending battle. But Wars seems to have won here. By the time a new Trekkie comes this thread probably won't be on page 1 anymore. And without it being one of the first threads to pop-up it may be over for some time, until somebody re-discovers it.

...If it's never ending how can it be over at all? It sleeeeeps *green goblin voice* sleeeeeep.

And it does seem as if Star Wars wins via article b section 2: The LALALALALA I CAN'T HEAR YOU! method.

If anything.

Swanky, again you mistake my posts. I meant that the argument is over on this forum. But it's a never-ending battle in other more visited places. Believe it or not other people have had this argument, other forums, websites, in IM, chatrooms, and other places on the web. What I meant to say is that the battle may be over here, but in other places it's a never-ending battle.

Star Trek doesn't exclude Governmental Entities/Races besides the Federation.

With that in mind, Star Trek.

In ROTJ a small, tiny little A-Wing crashed and took out an entire SUPER Star Destroyer. If thats all it takes... thats not saying much for SW technology.

Someone probably pointed this out, but it took out the Command Center of the Super Star Destroyer after it's Shield Generator's were destroyed.

Oh wow, DE Sidious's power of destroying fleets with the Dark Side of the Force is enough to wipe out the Federation's Fleets as they approach Sidious's flagship.

Oh wow, Q flicks his fingers and suddenly every Jedi has lost his powers.

Oh that's right...

SW Fanboys: No fair u hev teh ub3r Q!11

Q: Die. *Finger snap*

SW Fanboys: *Not existing*

No, but seriously... ST doesn't get Q, so therefore, why not restrict SW's side from having access to the force. Don't give me that "But they're the center of the SW universe" Ultima Fanboy BS. If ST is restricted to Mundane, then SW should be too.

Well, DarthDumbledore made the rules. Around here DarthDumbledore is a god.

This is not 'nam, this is bowling, there are rules.

If I understood the reference. 😖

Ok, NineCoronas. No force users. SW still wins. It doesn't really matter if we exculde them or not. It wasn't a big part of anyone's argument anyways.

Really? I saw a lot of things about star's being thrown around and Sidiou's ultimate power to the infinite. Then again, I only read the first 23 pages.

Everyone's Arguement also involved just the Federation, which is basically a gang of pussies.

Yeah, nobody wants to count the one shot alien races or the technology that both defies and rapes actual science. Like time travel which some have doubted or just decided won't work because they're tired of me talking about it.

If I didn't know the debate's been going on since the 70's I wouldn't of been so bold to say the thread will never die. It's akin to a dragon or... an immortal bear. It will sink but someone will find it. Or make a new one and then someone will link them to this or it'll get merged with this thread.

It's been going on for a long time. Almost thirty years. Until ST is forgotten, this debate will persist in some way. Not through this thread probably, but in one way or another.

NineCoronas, it was really only one post arguments. Example: Sidious can destroy their fleets with the force. ST wouldn't stand a chance. The serious arguments were those that included tech, sensors, ships and that was about it. Even the ground forces argument was never fully pursued.

I don't know. I've seen threads go for quite some time before getting bumped. A thread would have to be incredibly stupid to not come back at all. This area is in an area chock full of teenage angst though. I estimate this thread will be ressurected every 3-4 months and some form of emo will always be there.

That's if it isn't ressurected every 3-4 days by someone posting that nobody has posted in the last 3-4 days.
