KotOR III would probably be a mistake, let's admit it. KotOR II just sucked. And it doesn't make sense for us to hope that BioWare would do it anyways, seeing as they've spent the last few years developing their own IP that can rival SW - ME.

BTW: Of course they were taken off of PhotoBucket, they were stolen from his private folders.

You obviously dont know what your talking about, not only has KotOR 3 been in development, its been canned. If you even followed gaming news you will recall that LucasArts had massive lay offs in 04, including the team who was working on a KotOR 3.

I do! I ****ing want this. Actually I've been following this thread since about page 50, searching in vain for some sign of K3 life. If it gets announced I'm camping out. I know I'm not the only one who really wants to see K3 done.

The infamous legend is back! Lol well maybe not infamous, but I stopped coming to this post after it seemed in active, but now I’m back. So to business: I’ve read all the posts after my last post and I’m very interested In all that’s going on, the rumors, believed facts, what might actually be facts and such.

So you guys wanna know wat’s up, what I’ve gathered and know about Kotor 3 for now? I don’t truly feel like writing everything on the forums but I know that I probably will when I’ve gotten all the info together, and organized all my thoughts. Most of the reason that I won’t be posting everything right now is ’cause: I’m Lazy! Lol it’s true…

To those that are new to this post: (People who started posting after Jan. 1st ‘08). I like to think that I have a lot of considerable ideas. It takes me a bit of time to group ‘em but I’ll have ‘em down soon enough and post ‘em here.

I also post some stuff in lots of places, I’ll be listing ‘em here don’t worry about it! I’d love it if you guys sent me some of ur ideas and we could discuss ‘em and make all of ours better! I’m hoping to send something to the people at Star Wars Insider to put into one of their summer editions to get a lot more feedback and stuff. Also if I get to meet George Lucas some time, possibly discuss some Ideas with him that we came up with! (George Lucas apparently always has to give consent on all the games/storylines w/in the games to see that they keep with the ‘basis’ of Star Wars)

What some people won't do for Kotor III...

me want more kotor! me tired of finding out im revan and taking out the remaining jedi... i want a new storyline! me want kotor! o and btw, new storyline idea, since in wooookiepedia it says that the exile's followers made up the start of the new jedi order after the death of vrook, kavar, and whatshisface... maybe it should be about restoring and starting up a new academy, and it could FINALLY have a little bit about coruscont, which i have never seen a game have except for battlefront and jedi academy... and what would a starwars installment be if it wasnt divisible by 3?

darth lucas established the rule of 3 in 1209461294757197BBY 3 movies, 1 year apart, 3 games, 1 year apart, 1 good thing and 2 pieces of crap, 1 year apart, one to embody storyline and plot, and 2 to envy it. wierdly enough, the good one in the prequells was waited for through the two peaces of crap.... it seems the closer to the new hope, the better, and then, a new hope is a piece of crap too, so u might as well just not know if this is the piece of crap or not. they might make 6 kotors and have kotor 3 be a good one and the rest be pieces of crap...

so yea dont judge your lucas products before they hatch, they might just pop out of their packages and bite you in the @$$....

which reminds me, now they need battlefront III(woot i want kotor maps! own mandalorians on taris, oh yea!) oh yea, they might as well make a 3rd installment of the xwing series...

Some franchises have been entirely destroyed by beinging out a sequel just because fans want it.

The fact of the matter is that KOTOR II was not all that, and showed a marked issue with originality- i.e. it didn't have any.

People don't like making shoddy games for the sake of it and that's where a third KOTOR game would have been going.

No, they'll need an entirely different approach for another and that may yet take a long time. So I wouldn;'t hold your breath.

And sometimes- good things are best left to lie.

i found number 1's story lne better and enjoyed it more, but i liked number twos game mechanics better

Uh theres a problem with your *new* storyline. It's not new. check about 50 pages back and we had page long discussions about this very thing. we all agreed we wanted it to be about restoring the jedi and coruscont...and we actually got into a discussion as to the spelling. But yeah. We already had mapped out our own ideas so check back there if you want to read what we were thinking.

And Ushgarak, I do agree with you but I think they should at least *try* to finish it up. Just like Nintendo hasn't come out with Banjo-Threeie. It was mainly because Rareware was bought by Microsoft so everything got messed up in that department. But it seemed like after everyone had their fingers in their noses, they just gave up and moved on. This is no way to run a business. They're just half-@ssing everything and I find it quite pitiful.

It's only unfinished in the sense that they had a swiss-cheesed plot and added in a few lines about Revan having gone somewhere, which was not even the original plan. It's not as if it isd an unfinished Trilogy- frankly, the storyline has already said all that it had to say.

You shouldn't NEED a sequel to fill in lousy storymaking. This is simply stuff that is wrong with KOTOR II, not something that indicates the need for a sequel.

And the mechanic improvements in II were tiny. It is 99% the same game.

I cannot see a KOTOR III release in any near-future timescale being anything other than mediocre. Canning the concept was a good idea.

If it does become an MMO, that might not be a terrible idea for the concept, than simply re-hashing the same thing again. Much as that will still be ruined by the players, of course.

Kotor 3 won't apear in the near future, but I hate to leave a series on a bad note, and it probably won't be done by Bioware because of Mass Effect, however I refuse to give up hope. Like I said before: I'm giving it 6 more years.

6 is a lot. But it's already been a lot and who knows. There's still more rumors flying around and maybe it'll actually become something awesome. You never know.

Just kidding, (I hope). I don't know. But I have lost interest in KotOR, which I never thought would happen.

I haven't lost interest but I have lost hope.

actually i would like to see alot more power shown from revan in kotor iii.... it is very annoying that the only thing he accomplished was to kill malak when he is like my fav sith. i would defenitely also like maybe a multiplayer option where you use your leveled up character from a certain savegame in fights. i dont know if i would like it as a mmorpg as much as just being able to be multiplayer....

i also want to know what happened to revan. it would have been better to stick with nihilus's mask being made out of revan's skull for kotor 2 story then to leave it unfinished. i also want to know what true sith are, and where they are coming from. there is the problem that we dont have an answer to.

I'm giving it the time it took for StarCraft 2 to come out, which, unless I am mistaken, was approx. 10 years.

If they are going to make KOTOR III, I doubt it will be in ten years. If they don't start in, what, three years max., I doubt there will be a KOTOR III.
