KOTOR III

Damn gutted completely, Maybe its my brain trying to make sense of it or see some good from this which I think would be expansions and updates similiar to wow. For example they can continue the story I hope to god they do with some sense if they make the old sith empire arc thing a patch download and main server event where everyone according to there faction responds acordingly to this threat. That way they can tell us what the hell is in the unknown regions that revan was looking for by having it hit the old republic. Naturally the light side are peeved and the sith can be too because they dont wanna share power with nobody.

I've looked around the internet on this game and no one seems to like it. People say they will play it but only because its another KotOR game. Its a sad time to be a KotOR fan. Even a SW fan..crybaby

Actually on the SWtOR site, many people just seemed relived something was being done. Most seemed satisfied although I saw a few that didn't really want it. Maybe that just has something to do with it being on the game site.

But yeah I would think Naga Sadow would be "killed" when he took on the role of the emperor. H would no longer have a true identity other than that of the sith. That would be my take on it and it seems plausible because they stop calling them by name and begin calling the emperor, "emperor".

It doesn't even make sense that he was ever the emperor because Freedon Nadd killed his spirit 600 years after the great hyperspace war.

Well this must be the true sith mentioned in kotor 2 but I would have to agree with Lightsnake numerous sources say Naga Sadow is dead, I'd much rather this be a new a different ancient sith (personally I wanted to know more about Tulak Hord)

Yeah I was rather suprised also that they would reuse Sadow. If they were going to bring back the ancient sith then Ragnos would of been a far better choice IMO, no explanation would be necessary to show why hes still alive and lets face it: Ragnos is a badass.

Well yeah I think we all would of preferred a straight up kotor game. Still, I think this game has the potential to be good. They would need to keep their focus on having a well structured storyline, this is the key factor that all other MMOs lack. Keep the Pvp and interaction with other players as bonus fluff that is not necessary to keep the story going if you dont want to participate. Though making the Pvp fun would be the next priority in order to give the game longevity.

This game has the potential to dethrone WoW as the top MMO, since Star Wars is such a popular franchise. If its done right, this game could be everything SWG should of been. Or it could suck ass. We will have to wait and see.

i still think the "true sith" were the Yuzzhon Vong. The other characters, such as sadow, are no different than the triumvariate, so it makes no sense that sadow would recieve a completely different classification such as "true"

Actually, we now have a canon source contradicting my favorite theory:

The true Sith have spent centuries building their strength in the depths of unknown space. The Sith Emperor patiently planned for the day when his Sith Empire would repay the Jedi for the humiliating defeats of the past. In that time, generations of Sith have come and gone, working hard and devoting their lives to the dream of vengeance.

With dark discipline and meticulous execution, the Sith’s first assault on their enemies succeeded to near-perfection. They sliced through the Jedi and their defenses as if they weren’t even there. Though their aggressive advances were eventually slowed, the Sacking of Coruscant settled any questions about whether the Sith were victorious.

I hate that they haven't finished the story arc- they haven't yet addressed the possibility of Revan + Exile or Revan Vs. Exile. I want to see that happen in Canon. Or in a cannon. It makes no difference to me, really.

where is that quote from?

The official site:

http://www.swtor.com/info/story/sith-lords

It is like the very first sentence. Click the 'back to overview' button to go to the main page.

so this game is called "The sith lords" too? wow.

No, that was the info screen for the sith lords- the metaphysical sect of the Evil faction. That's not the name of the game. The game is just 'The Old Republic'.

well thats good i guess. i don't spend so much time on starwars.com its all about selling me things mostly. Would you play a star wars MMO? I just don't have time. Plus, how much you want to bet it would be another monthly bill?

I refuse to pay more than once for a game. I also refuse to play an MMO. If they have no monthly fee, I might pick it up, but I also don't have enough time, and by the summer I will be too far behind in level grinding.

And I'm not guessing. This has all been released.

As much as I like Revan, (no clue why I still do) I am happy that he failed at something, remember one of the reasons he tried to take over the galaxy was to protect the galaxy or his would be sith empire from the true sith aka (rival) ancient sith empire. According to the page RN posted a link to, Revan never returned from the unknown regions.

It seems he and The Exile both failed hardcore... of course what two people are going to do is beyond me. I mean come on...

Well Revan is described as the "heart of the force" and the Exile is described as the "death of the force" 😐

But then again it did take the true sith about 300 years to invade after kotor in which the galaxy was at extremely weak state since in a little over a 40 ( or close to 50?) year period there was the Great Sith War,Mandalorian War, Jedi Civil War and the Triumvirate "shadow war."

Red, i didn't say you guesssed. I said, that's good, i guess.

Right you are.

So, the game is suppose to happen 300 years after KOTOR. Yet I can read:

"Korriban, like Tython, was lost for some time. The inhospitable planet bred strong people, and when the native Sith were subjugated and absorbed by Dark Jedi exiles, it became the center of a mighty empire. After the devastation of Korriban at the end of the Great Hyperspace War and the flight of the Sith from their homeworld, the red planet was forgotten. That is, until two Jedi veterans of the Mandalorian Wars happened to arrive while searching for a powerful weapon."

So, canon will be changed now. It seems it's quite clear that Sadow prolongued his life and it's the true enemy. So, after all Revan wanted to fight Sadow. My only problem with this game (it's more then 1 actually, starting from the fact thta canon will be changed) is the fact that he never knew what happened with revan and the exile. By the way:

"Will I see any characters from Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic?

Given that it is approximately 300 years since the events of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, many of the characters have passed away. However, their legacy does live on as many of their descendants will be part of Star Wars: The Old Republic. Some droids can last a long time as well."

So does this mean that we can see HK-47 again? That would be nice actually.

Why would canon be changed? Didn't Revan and Malak initiate the academy on Korriban?
