Think about Dialogue, which may be the most important part of the plot
That can be implemented without much trouble. For example: at the beginning of the game, one person is selected as the person to converse with npcs. This could reveal some problems later on in the game, so an alternative would be to make dialogue situations play-out as a group conversation with each character able to voice their own opinion -- if it comes down to it, a consensus would be needed to make major decisions (ie. 2 out of 3). 🙂

I don't think it's impossible at all. The group could possibly be portrayed as a band of jedi, as a unit, progressing through the Old Republic times.
the main problem with that online idea is the time the ppl would be online, it would be hard to advance a plot because the people wouldn't be on at the same time, and there would be ppl at different spots, so it'd be hard, so to make it work u'd have to make KOTOR 3 a game with levels, which wouldnt be the same, wouldnt make it an rpg because there would be levels and u wouldn't be able to explore at all

Ya, this is the only problem. It would require that each party member remain online the entire time which is not realistic at all.

what if there is two kotor 3s one online one offline that could help with all the crap but what kind of system to use playstation 3 xbox 360 xbox pc wonder which itll be?
do you know how long it takes to make a game? they'd have to change the entire game system to do one offline and one online, it would cost alot and take twice as long, they just couldnt do it

Peopel are going to complain about it when it comes out anyway, just like KOTOR 2. I say go ahead and make it online. Hell, I was dissapointed when I foudn out the other two weren't.
again, how can they do that? it would completely ruin the gameplay, how could u make it like kotor 1 or 2 by making it online? a bunch of heroes trying to save the galaxy and eventually doing it, it would be pointless and not possible
He is right, however, I do think that there needs to be a change to the D20 system... the moves have to change, For instance, when doing flurry, the guy swings his thing at the enemy 3 times, and alot of the time, he swigs right thru the enemy, but it says MISS.
To fix that, they need to make it so that only one character can attack an enemy at a time, and when you roll a MISS the enemy parrys your blow or actually gets all the way out of the way.
Once again Im going to give you all my plot line. Grant it, this only works when the lightsideending is chosen for Kotor2 but here it is. after kreia dies on the lightside ending, the trayus core is destroyed, along with the rest of the planet.. I believe that the handmaiden stowed away on the Ebon Hawk, and after you kill kreia she is the one piloting the Hawk when it comes outta no where and then the Exile and her fly back to Telos to help Bao-Dur with the restoration, and they have a child while they are there. The exile can be a female if you like canon, and then everything that the handmaiden does would be taken over by disciple, and the exile would have the baby. But I say SCREW CANON. Its gay, and for a story line that Lucas himself didnt write, there doesnt need to be a standard. That is why there are dialogue options. Pick whatever you want for gender options and whether people were dark or light
Anyway. Handmaiden and the exile have a child, and they begin to raise him/her (player choice) on Telos. Kreia comes back as a force ghost, via all her holocrons in the temple, and tells the Exile and Handmaiden that she has felt Revan, and that he/she (again player choice) is in trouble and he needs help. So Handmaiden and Exile leave for the unknown regions and they leave their baby(you) in the capable hands of Kriea and Bao-Dur.
Now this is where the story actually begins. all that^^^ was the gaps that needed to be filled in for K2. So Kreia continues your training and cutscenes happen here(showing all ur training, sorta like in K1 when you turn into a Jedi.) Then you get to do a prologue, like in k2, so that you get familiarized with all the controls. You also get to pick some light or darkside points here. Remember Bao-Dur, well were just gonna say that he became a Jedi under Exile, and you are sparring with him(mind you you dont have a lightsaber but he does, his) a cutscene shows you fighting with Bao and you land a serious blow(now this is all just training, but they are using real weps) the lightside thing to do is to stop the duel and medic Bao, or you can go dark and kill him. Either way you get a lightsaber part. When you killed him, you damaged his lightsaber and you get a part of his saber, and you get a crystal. If you went light, he tells you he has saved a part to give to you when you finally surpass him, and you get a part and a crystal.
After all this, you should either be a little light or dark, and it should be easy to stick to the path no matter what way you went.
Now right as you leave(note that in the cutscenes you gradually grow up, as in fable, and when you leave you are abou 17 or 18, and by the time you finish the story you are about 25, so you could do as they did in the Ep 1-3 as obiwan grew facial hair and shiz, just so that they physical change is noticeable.
Right before you leave Telos to go train among the stars (lol) Kreia comes to you and tells you that your parents and Revan are in grave danger and that you should endeavor to find them and save them, or take advantage of the situation and go darkside. Thus your journey begins and you go thru planets and stuff, and pick up peeps along the way. Now when you finally get to your parents and revan, you have a choice, kill them or save them. This happens in a cutscene so the graphics can rule, kill them and you are seen in a battle with all three of them and save them and you escape from wherever they are being held. This way, there is no interaction and there can be all new characters.
And Revan doesnt have to be a male or female, they can just stick the helmet on his/her head and pull the hood up.
Speaking of which, there have to be hoods in the next game. When darkside, you should have a pitch black tunic laced with red pinstripes, and then a pitch black cloak on that has red pinstripes. When the hood on the cloak is up there is a darkside aura visible eminating from your person and you do this wicked cool Evil Walk.
And of course when you are lightside, you do a graceful walk and you have a lightside aura and your clothes are brown and off white....
no new colors, besides black if you guys will accpet it 🙂
no new lightsaber upgrades, (plenty now, more will be confusing)
a way to play your favorite tunes while playing, rather than the starwars music. Or they need to make new music that is chaotic for dard side ppl, and peaceful and relaxing for the lightsiders.
as i said before, moves need to look better but not necessarily new moves( i.e. Flurry needs to have you character do a cooler movement, not a new attack...if that makes sense)
besides Kreia and Bao, and the ending cutscenes, no old character interaction because the story needs to progress, not revolve around one person.
Add to this, lol.
good idea, but Revan went to fight the true sith, how would that work in with your plot, and heres an idea, your mission is to find information on how to get to revan, and along the way u talk to carth and bastilla who have also been looking for him (revan was a guy, in k2 bastilla is worried about HIM, she even says him) and u have other companions as well
Well... the one point we are getting off of is that the new KOTOR must really tie the story together and make some sense of K2... and has been already said they will most likely show that Nihilus was too powerful for Revan, so he left Kreia to find a way to kill it, thus she found the Exile and he was practically a Merc for Kreia/Revan but didnt know it... so after Nihilus, Sion, and Kreia and all shizz has happened the galaxy is safe for Revan to come back and totally own/ take control... Indeed????
uhhh...buddy, Revan was good, he was going to fight the true sith, he wasnt running away like a pansy, the story is most likely going to be that you are helping bastilla and carth find revan because you trained with him wen he was a padawan, and you go to different planets to find information, and then finally go into the unknown universe and find revan, and then the story will go from there and blah blah blah
