Actually...if anything I could see Lucas getting a lifetime achievement award at somepoint in the near future. It would be fitting if it were this year. I think it would be well deserved.

ROTS wouldn't win an oscar if Lucas paid them.

I didn't see narnia

Narnia was ok actually, so was King Kong, but I don't think that they will win oscar. I really hope Star Wars does but I just don't see it happening...

Only three of these films will be nominated. It's a tough choice... I think the only one that has a guaranteed in is King Kong, which I think will also take the statue home. The rest, I really have no idea... It can go two ways... they can go for the movies which have an obviously large amount of effects (Kong, Narnia, Harry Potter, Sith), or they can go for the ones which look more seamless (Batman, War of the Worlds). It wouldn't surprise me at all if Sith isnt even nominated...

Well, after seeing all of these films...KING KONG will win.

The other nominees will be NARNIA for sure, because that was pretty dang seamless...and WAR OF THE WORLDS for being quite "other worldly" indeed.

HARRY POTTER and SITH are just more of the same stuff we saw in the other previous films in each series, albeit better than those previous. I think BATMAN BEGINS is too subtle for the nomination, unfortunately. CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY is nothing spectacular, I think.

The best ones usually don't have the most advertisement.

Best Picture, recently, at least, has always gone to some big-budget sapfest, like Million-Dollar Baby. I'd bet taht Cinderella Man takes it, because it fits their arbirtrary criteria. The Oscars are all a totally subjective scam, anyways.

Ian Mcdiarmid had a great performance - i'll have nothing said against him in Sith, but its not Oscar performance - not by miles

Ewan McGregor was very good playing as Obi-Wan. A lot better then some of the actors but I doubt he'll win an award.
