Hey I just pointed something out. I dont think SS and Thor will win either but I sure dont think its gonna be a complete curbstomp. Thor himself took apart the infinity watch. I just dont think its the complete thrashing your making it out to be.
This is 2 very high end characters, but there are 7 equally as impressive opponents.

God man are you trying to make me feel old 😠 Its only been about 13-15 years ago 😄 We'll just disagree there because I dont think all of the 7 opponents are equally as impressive. As far as every few issues Marvel and DC have always been somewhat different in thier story styles. If a character can do it once every 6 months he can do it once a month. Besides time makes no difference. A feat is a feat unless thier is a huge change in the characters power set. The classic Thor that destroyed exitars dome is the same one that beat the infiity watch ect.
I'm not saying it doesn't mean they can't do it, I'm saying JLA do far more impressive things and far more regularly. You're missing the point. It's their teamwork and their ability to deal with far greater threats than anything Surfer and Thor can output. They do this consistantly.
Those two can take their share of wins against anyone on the other team indivudually. Together and all at once, it's just a massacre. A utter massacre.
Hell, many people give Supes over Thor alone. And he has done it alone for the record. What happens when he brings Flash with him, and Flash is amping Supes' and his own speed and power with the speedforce? What happens of Wonder Woman is there too, and she's got the speedforce aura?
GL's have shown pretty much every power Surfer has shown. Each of them could battle him in a decent fight and get a fair amount of wins.... but in this instance....Surfer is against two beings of nearly equal calibre to his own. Can he fight them off and Martian Manhunters mind attacks at once?
What happens after the picasecond it takes to drop Thor at 500 million times lightspeed massacre they perform, when the other 3 heavy hitters join in on Surfer?

Parallax/Hal was defeated by a solo Hal Jordan GL, he alone could give Galactus a run at optimum.
How many instances are you wanting?
These guys do this shit in random issues.
I'm saying, there is no way in hell Surfer and Thor walts through against these guys, unless they let them do it and just stand there. They have a counter for every power, and have power in numbers and tactical advantage. They will determine how the fight goes down by that fact alone.
Thor take wins in solo matches here.
Surfer can take wins in solo matches here.
But that's not the case.
The team has every advantage here, due to their numbers and vastness of their powers.
Every power Surfer has can be overcome here.
Thor is non factor, Supes and Flash alone would be far too much for him to handle.

Either one of these two GLs individually can give Surfer a hell of a fight, anyone who knows both of the characters knows that as simple fact.
There is two of them. They can pit themselves against him with relative ease. If Manhunter is attacking his mind at the same time, he won't be able to counter 2 GL's, if he's countering 2 GL's? He won't be able to avoid the mindrape.
Superman alone can and has put down Thor, add Flash to boot, and Thor is out of his league.
Where's wonder woman?
Put here whever she needs to be.
Hell, they could very well do it without her.
Batman too.
They are just icing on the cake.
Then it's 7 on 1, Surfer has no chance.
