loooong poem I wrote for English... does not reflect my emotions, so please don't worry about that 🙂
Raindrops
raindrops
fall
like tears
from the eyes
of a disappointed Goddess.
one single
shimmering bead of
innocent perfection
tumbles onto my
ashen cheek,
dashes down
the well used track
worn smooth
by a steady stream
of moisture,
the liquified symbol
of such agony and
anguish.
quite noticeably
thunder growls,
like the stomach
of a starving,
emaciated child.
the wind it
shrieks,
voicing the cries
I longingly wish
to enunciate, but
dare not to,
for fear of
repercussions.
reflections,
so accusing,
staring out from
teh scintillating surface
of this sharp
blade
I grasp in my hand,
so tenderly,
as I would a
newborn
swaddled in soft,
downy blankets.
the possible sensations
screaming through me
if this blade were to
pierce my soft, defenseless
flesh,
seem so endless.
also my blood,
the colour so lusciously
vibrant in the
haziness of my sight,
shall streak my skin,
the drops of
scarlet
sliding down the
silver of my blade in a
stream of shining jewels
of ruby,
shall be a wonderful issue
to investigate further...
it should be so easy...
all it takes
is one swipe,
one slash,
and the task
is finished...
no.
my passing shall
solve nothing;
it is only a
convenience
for those too
spineless to
seek other solutions.
staggering,
I release the knife,
slipping from fingers
too insensate to feel,
making aquaintances with
the solid soil beneath me,
reality
imposing itself into
my hazy thoughts.
raindrops,
glittering on my
overexcited and exposed
flesh,
cleansing me
of such impurities in
my mystified notions,
releasing the ballast
of guilt off my shoulders,
off my heart.
and in this cognition,
I am satisfied
to resume existing
for one more day.
