Classic Magneto, I'm afraid. The one who had to concentrate to even fly and was beaten by Namor and had his forcefield nearly caved in by Thor. Compare Classic Magneto's struggle against Thor to Powerup #1 Magneto's easy taking of a simultaneous attack by both Thor and She-Hulk.And that's just powerup #1.
Almost had me! 😉 You were just off by a decade!
yah, like i didn't see THAT coming . . . 🙄
not sure what you're talking about with his shield though. near as i can tell, the shield didn't actually GET stronger in his power up. it had already taken a direct assault (easily) by thor and the avengers during that avengers arc in 110-111. (an era where mags could also make wanda dance and 'control minds'.) so the power up just made it so that the shield . . . can't be moved? unless it's by bishop who screwed with mags' power even though when redirecting his power he changes the power?
ya know, looking back, i see no real difference in his actual power level. all i see are more creative writers. all right, so if the shield IS unmoveable, what if supes shockwaves the ground and shatters the ground beneath him? mags needs to fly or fall. are you saying if supes charged him in the air he'd . . . bounce off and mags wouldn't move? 😑 what if supes blasted UPWARD from the ground below mags? he'd bounce off and drive himself deeper into the earth? the 'immoveable shield' makes no real sense demi.
meh. the scans i showed and their interpretations were enough to at least cause people to question some of what you have been saying, and that's enough for me. no one is really gonna change your mind on this one. and frankly, i'm not entirely convinced myself supes would win.
bottomline: i really only chimed in because cuz i love being on the other side of the fence from you.

If you saw it coming, you shouldn't have done it. 😄
No, the powerup not just increased Magneto's level of power...it allowed him to do more with the power he accessed. In the Magneto one-shot, he said that being restored to his prime allowed him the time to master his powers all over again. He said - "what if I could set up a field that would add or remove an electron from any incoming force or object and generate a like charge on it. It would repel instantly". It was clear these were things Magneto was experimenting with after his restoration. It changed the nature of his forcefield.
And I know you just like picking fights. Go fight GS now. Bastard, lol
Edit: regarding the forcefield. Don't think of it necessarily as a "force field". It's more of an energy bubble that affects things at an atomic level, a level at which even Superman doesn't have control. In that sense, it doesn't matter from what direction Superman flies.
How do you put this "sheild" up against someone who moves faster than you can think? Supes can move at or near lightspeed which is faster than the brain can produce a thought, something to think about. Mags is a great character BUT hes not even in the same ball park as supes he cant even serve hot dogs or peanuts there.
Magneto vs Superman?
Everyone seems to totally under estimate superman. He can move faster than light, back in time. Thats faster than magneto can conceive a thought let alone defend himself. Sups spits at him at super speed an knocks him out before he realizes their fighting . . .
You must have crazy comsic BS powers to mess with superman
As for Thor an Hercules same deal they cant keep up with his speed.
Superman could land 100+ blows before they could blink. Hell for that matter superman just goes back in time an sneak attacks them before they even know they're gonna fight . . . lol beat that one

Now Magneto is fighting pre-crisis Superman? lol

Again, the thread starter stipulated that Magneto is already in the midst of tearing up a city when Superman arrives on the scene. that means Magneto is ready and primed for combat. That includes the forcefield.
Now stop using cheesy tactics.
😱
I have the answer to everyones problems....check out my logic
Superman knows martial arts (whoever has the damn scan post it, I saw it a few days ago) = he knows something unknown to batman=batgod gets owned=batgod>EVERYTHING=mags gets slaughtered!!!!!!!!
😆
you can all continue with your regular programming.....
