Yeah i understand what AC is saying, but for pedophiles to have pictures and videos then there are still children being molested. Although i have heard of people who find girls who are just legal but are small and look young, shave them and make them look like children, which is reprehensible to begin with but could be used with ACs thought.

My idea stems from the fact that we'll probably never get rid of child porn, so the next logical step is simply damage limitation, and if that comes in the form of a man jerking off to child porn and never harming a kid, as opposed to going out and harming one, I'll take that option.

Damage control. while the idea is good in theory ("In theory communism works"😉, i think its a pipe dream. Humans dont seem too good at the "self control" aspect of life, especially when sex is involved (forgive me, that is a bit of a generalisation), i dont think the idea would be a long term sort of deal

Yes Peadophila will always exist as long as the human race exists....it's existed for thousands of years back, what makes people think we can end it now is unrealistic.....
However, Peadophilia and child rape are not the same thing.....when an adult has sex with a 14 year old, people call that rape even though a 14 year old has the ability to give consent.....
True Child Rape or Child Molestation is when an adult forces himself or herself on a child who is either so young they don't realize what is happening to them, or to a youth who did not give consent.
If a bunch of 14 and 15 year olds want to do porn, it's their choice. Now, if it's a bunch of 9 year olds doing porn..then u know something is wrong.....

Why is it acceptable to you that one minor, i.e. a 15 year old engage in sexual behavior on film, but not another, i.e. a 12 year old? Either it is wrong for minors to perform in adult films or it is not.

But where do those pictures/movies come from? A child is still being harmed in trying to do damage control.

It also happens that people have sex with animals and nobody sticks up for them animals. Alas, I know humans are animals and I am expecting someone to mention that as well, as being an absolute unrelative point. I know that it happens but I dont know why.

You actually have a really good point there Bardock, and the funny thing is that few people hardly ever think of it that way.
It's absurd that we can kill, eat, and torture an animal (atleast in Spain you can)...but you can't have sex with one...
Since when is sex the worst thing you can do to something ?
