this is semi-related:There's this guy that runs a "Destiny Church" who was on TV the other night talking about teenager and sex and abstinence, etc...
He really bugged me... His argument was that kids should not be having sex at all
out of wed-lock. And his reason was that it ruins your life... even if you a re both consenting to it! Now, is it just me, or is this guy totally freckin nuts!?!How the hell can having sex ruin your life? He was asked wether he had sex before marriage (the interview of course knew that he did) and he said yes to which the interviewer said "and it clearly didn't destroy your life" and the guy replied "Yes it did". But, it only 'destroyed' your life because you let it... because you made it such a big deal!
This guy says that kids are not given the choice to abstain... or that abstinence is not promoted enough, or as much as condoms etc. Well abstinence isn't promoted as much because teachers know teenagers are going to have sex... better they do it safely...
There's this whole thing they do, where they (teens) swear not to have sex before marraige. They have to wear a ring, and if they break that promise they have to flush the ring down the toilet symbolising them flushing part of their life away... 😆 it really makes me laugh that people do this kind of thing...
I don't understand Christians' belief that contraception destroys life... if God didn't want us to 'waste' sperm then why did he create us so that we release millions of these little guys and maybe only one of them gets through? Why do we have nocturnal emmissions (a completely natural, involuntary thing)?
I mean, it's fine to hold these beliefs.. I have no problem with that... But to go out and preach them to the rest of the world like he does is stupid and inconciderate and I believe prejudiced against non-christians...
TV preachers have a long tradition of hiring prostitues or just F-ing their secrateries in the B.
Well, speaking as a Christian, I completely understand what you speak of in terms of those televangelists being very two-faced.
If you're open-minded then, here's my personal belief.
Sex is meant for marriage. And marriage is the ultimate consumation of love. How can to people's love be consumated and then they split up in weeks, or years? I mean, if you're having sex before marriage, okay, that's your business. I won't get into that, because that's your own personal belief.
Well, like I said earlier in this thread, it's ultimately up to the person. If you both feel you're ready, are of legal age, know the risks, and know about protection....then it's fine. Just be prepared to deal with any consequences.

I think when you reach 16 ure wise enough to know whether u want a penis inside you/put ure penis inside someone or not.. 😬 sure they feel pressured, but just as pressuder as 18 year old virgins 😬
I'm 19 and I never felt any pressure to have sex 😛
Why? I've had sex i'm not married. I was in love, still am actually... I don't care that some people don't agree with it. If two people agree to it then its their own bussines, of course with minors there is a difference, but if two 15 16 17 18 years old whatever want to have sex let them.
As long as both people know what they are talking about, what they are doing and both want it then everything is fine. Let them have their fun, just educate them and teach them to use a condom.

exactly, there are however alot of teens out there who think theyre ready and go ahead and have sex. All too quickly do they find out theyre NOT ready and end up screwing their lives
