Well, this is not meant to be a cakewalk op!
But yes, sealing the escape route is meant to stop the Warlord simply running when you start the fight. If he realises there is trouble twenty minutes earlier than that, then aside from anything else he could probably unseal it pretty quick.
You need to get Vlad to the adjunct without the base as a whole noticing.

How about we start something like a fight outside in the hall. Kinda like where we anger some mercenaries and they start trouble. That would distract everyone from Vlad going to seal off the escape route.
( Gee, why didn't I think of that? 🙄 )
What if a few of us with combat tricks accompany Vlad to the console, actually 'going in' first, and QUIETLY disable any onlookers in the adjunct? Unless we can somehow lure out or trick anyone around that corner into leaving, we have to deal with the occupants somehow.
(Sorry, Fire, I was trying to be funny.)
"Xeth, I think we can handle this. Let's clear the way for Vlad to do his magic." Andro tells the Geonosian Jedi, then looks to the Nautolan "Vlad please follow us."
(I'd like to use sense on the adjunct just before going in, to get one last idea of how many may be around that corner. You know, no surprises.)
