A full potential Swamp Thing would own Surfer. John Constantine helped Swamp Thing reach his potential, and he held his own against DC's god.

Normal Swampy gets killed though. But he doesn't die, he's a wraith like spirit like Spectre.

Seriously, you guys should really read Swamp Thing more, if you really think this a curbstomp in favor of SS.

At His beginning Swamp thing went to Hell and saved His love and thats probably not even His full potential He cant die if He dies His spirit can get another body out of more vegetation no matter how small or how little it is He recreated Himself out of one of Constantines cigeretts Silver Sufer MIGHT get lucky once and destroy His body Swampthing would come back then kick His ass.

Surfer is powerful but he's going down against Swamp Thing. I bet wear gonna hear from Cube and kgkg in the morning. Both of them are smart, and they could give great arguments on how Surfer could win.

i dont think even The Keeper could beat Swampthing.

It'll take more than the power cosmic to beat the god of the swamp.
Not much anyone can do about ST if he gets pissed and goes all out.

Silver surfer could do the opposite of what he did for shalla-bal's soul and just drain the energy from the wraith. Cause that's all 'ghosts' are, left over spectral energy.

But Swamp thing is not a spectre, he is the representative of "The Green"

this IS a mismatch, only thing is, its not a fair fight for surfer who is outclassed by swamp thing, when constantine unlocked it's true potential. ST didnt hold his own against god, he was too much for god to handle, and swamp thing could have KILLED god if he wanted.

I go for Swampy though, I remember Swampyin Space when Lex interferred with his bio electric energy. It showd the green is throughout the DC universe and ST is n contact with all of it.

First off, you guys are all talking about when Constantine UNLOCKED his full potential, have you seen SS full potential? This guy absoloutly mauls shit. He can absorb the life force of the 'green', with ease. He superpowered Shalla-bals soul so that wherever she walked on the world galactus drained, new plants grew.

As for ST rivaling god, that's stupid, and exaggerated. If DC has its characters rivaling the one who created everything, then DC is hiring some pretty shitty writers. As far as I'm concerned, ST is the emboidment of an element, Surfer manipulates a much more versatile and powerful element. It just comes down to the question of, what is ST going to do to put down SS? Is he going to follow him into space? Because plantlife won't live outside the atmosphere. How about when SS lights his green ass on fire?

I haven't seen any actual examples of what ST can do, except "His power is immense when unlocked!"

The story line has to be a joke. Who the hell is Constantine? I mean, I watched movie, but how is it that HE is capable of unlocking a being's "full potential" so that it exceeds that of his maker? Let alone the maker of all things?

He's a plant. Plants are dependent on many, many things. Of course, if Swamp Thing is no longer dependent on oxygen, water, air, or sunshine...then that's another story.

They have it wrong anyway JC did not unlock his potential it developed.
