Once again the mythology of the Daleks was changed which got a few hard core fans mad! I said the writers do what they want and pay little attention to such things, any how that aside. Not bad but rather slow and it was clear as crystal about the survivor, nice touch right at the end.
So you knew she was gonna be a full fledged Dalek? I knew something was up, but when it turned out she was an actual dalek I was a little surprised although to be honest I always had an idea of a human being able to control a dalek...I'll say suit. I doubt they stole the idea from me though.
Im curious how the Dalek's made the Earth forget they attacked the planet. Seems maybe it will be explained this season.
Also does seem odd Dalek's using humans as peons or
Spoiler:
outright turning them into a full Dalek. Sure they used Human DNA to make Dalek's in the past, but they were crazy. Seems odd that "normal" Dalek's are ok with it.
Be quiet with continuity stuff. It'll either make sense and we'll love it, or it won't and sh*t will still be entertaining.
uhuh
The "I'm really good with teleporters" thing extends back to Eccleston. Nice touch for observant fans.
I'll be back in a few episodes. I'd rather not hear the griping about the "Ancient Egpyt + Dinosaurs + Robots + Cybermen probably maybe + lasers + some other historical period I'm guessing + Rory's dad + impossibly busy script" that we're likely to get next week.
2 for 2 this season in my book. What a good start! There's been better one-off episodes, but stringing them together is never easy. The "Dinosaurs..." episode felt like something they'd do in the comics WAY back in the day. Robots with stupid accents, dinosaurs, characters from 3 different time periods, just campy nonsense all around. A long scarf and some jelly babies were all that was missing. But the script and emotion kept it all together, hitting the balance between serious and funny, and showing some true character development in the process.
