Maybe. Could well be. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

It seems highly unlikely he's a Timelord. We already have an established continuity of him being a 59th century Time Agent from the time of Magnus Greel.

The 'thing that is unknown' will spring from two factors- the missing years of Jack's life that he cannot remeber which was part of why he left the Time Agency, and secondly the circumstances surrounding his ressurrection.

Hes a what from the time of whom??
Im going to have to watch the first series more than the once then...i mustve been on the loo when that bit was announced.

59th century? I thought it was 51st...

Same thing...

Yeah, only 800 year difference there...

Shut up! That's why!

Yes, it's the 51st century...

I knew it! I think...I mean, when he was with The Doctor, they travelled to the 51st century, but Jack was left there. In Torchwood, everyone thought how the hell did he get back to the 21st century, including me.

But last episode of Torchwood, didn't he have a girlfriend in the 1940's & now ovbiously grew old, then was killed by those fairy things? So what time is he in!? 21st or 51st!? 😑

He's from the 51st century and was a Time Agent.

Bad Wolf and Parting of the Ways - where Jack was left behind on the Gamestation - took place much, much further in the future than the 51st century.

Torchwood takes place in the 21st century. I think 2007, to be precise.

But also remember that we don't know what Jack was up to before he met the Doctor, how he made it back to the 21st century or how long that took him, and there's also those two years of his memory missing.

Really, this stuff's not hard to figure out...😕

Doesn't Jack say something along the lines of "the 21st century is when it all changes "? I know he said that to Gwen in the last episode featuring the fairies.

Yeah I know, I never said it was. Just some things I wanted clearing up & you've done that.

I thought Bad Wolf/Parting of Ways was in the 51st century...but you say it isn't. So what time is it, do you know?

So no one knows how he got back then...? Well we was a time agent so maybe he figured something out.

Bad Wolf/Parting of the Ways took place in 200,100, which is definitely NOT the 51st century (which would be about year 5000).

And nope, no one knows how Jack got back or how long it took him.

Ah yes I remember...when they went to satalite five first time around, it was the year 200,000. Second time was 100 years later & at first they didn't know where'd they'd landed & in what time until later.

Did any Dr Who fans watch THE TIME WARRIOR this morning on UK GOLD
Classic Pertwee.

Being a Time Agent doesn;t give you magical powers; he needs a device to do it with. Although one might surmise- in the insane continuity that is Doctor Who- that so far in the future there migbt be something, it appears that in the year 200000 technology has not moved on much for whatever reason. Add the Dalek 'issues' into it...

I mean, he could have stolen a Dalek one, but there weren't really any left.

Also remember- for fans that know the continuity- the time travel from the 51st century is extremely unstable to a point of destruction. Even if improved, it's not sonmething they are great at.

Jack's original ship was stolen/salvaged, of course.

Green Death and The Mind Of Evil are this weekends treats on UK GOLD
