Official Doctor Who Thread

On Tom Baker being pictured in an episode like Doomsday...well, different Doctors, different stories, different moods? I could not picture the Fourth Doctor in Doomsday, but that's because he's the Fourth, not the Tenth...

Indeed, each Doctor is played differently...

I quite liked the new Christmas special. Donna was a bit annoying at first, but they played off each other well. Tennant's doing an awesome job, though I can't really judge off of the other Doctors.

I was highly amused by it. Segways...

Aaaaaand I still need to watch the DVD I got. Heh. Haven't actually had time or the desire to sit down and watch something.

Am I the only one who wants The Master back?

I haven't watched anything involving The Master, so I really can't tell you.

He's the only other time lord left. he lived his 13 lives and is now locked inside the heart of the TARDIS. But he can posses others.

Oh, I know who he is, I've read up. I just haven't watched him.

What do you think?

Pfft, is he? That's highly speculative.

He just died in that story, like he has in a load of others.

Yes, at the end of it he is sucked into the heart of the TARDIS.

He is destroyed by such energies. No question og being 'trapped'.

Just as he was once burnt to death in full view of the Doctor, or trapped in a console room with a killer dinosaur and no defence or no escape... it's just how it happens with him.

Be sure- RTD has absolutely no notion that the Master is 'trapped in the TARDIS'. His basic vibe has been "No Time Lords, no Master." If someone does bring him back one day, it will be likely that no reference to Paul McGann's story will be made at all. The only issue to be addressed is how the Master survived the Time War when the Doctor is 100% certain that ALL Time Lords died.

The Doctor may consider him dead and forever trapped in the heart of the TARDIS. But he has been wrong allot lately. The Master survived the time war cause he was trapped.

If you watch the TV movie, I'm pretty sure the Doctor says he's trapped, not dead.

I'm pretty sure you will find the Docotr has rather more clearly said that he is certain he is the only Time Lord still alive. He's hardly likely to forget the Master.

All my comments above about RTD's approach still stand.

Again, since the Master is trapped within the heart of the TARDIS and not really alive in the traditional sense.

I believe the Paul McGann story is still considered canon.

And the Doctor was also certian of allot of things lately that were wrong.

LOL, and I believe it was The Doctor who said "Never say, Never Ever."

I just think that Tom Baker can't act one bit.

If they did bring back The Master, who would you want to see play him?

I didn't like the Runaway Bride very much. Like the spider though, cool looking but not that good episode. Prefer last Christmas episode. Christmas episodes not as good as regular episodes are they, or in my opinion...bits of it were funny though & good.

"Santa's a robot!" 😂

Of course it's canon, but that's not relevant, nor is your "oh, he's not really alive' thing a plausible explanation. And whether the Doc is wrong or not is completely irrelevant as well.
