Right on. 😄

Well, being as Jack's supposed to be in the last three episodes of DW, I would assume during one of those...

Ah well, if it had stayed as Roger, he'd just have been the Doc's brother and died in Planet of the Spiders.

Mind you, that was an awful story so he would have improved that.

was it established that THE MASTER was his brother then?
i really enjoyed the interraction between the Master and Pertwees Who on the recent uk gold repeats
i read that although they were good freinds Pertwee was jealous of Delgados scenes and hated THE DALEKS because they stole the limelight

as for whoever did the Baker bashing earlier your WRONG
i watched The Sontaran Experiment over xmas and forgot how good he was

No it was not (unless you think that is Planet of Fire's line), but it would have been had Roger lived.

i reccomend the Doctor Who magazine special which deals with the Pertwee and Baker years that is out at the moment
its a great read

most ridiculous Dr Who casting rumour yet
John Savident aka Fred Elliot to play the doctor next
hes appeared in an episode way back but its not happening...it cant

The Sontaran Experiment is good. I like it too. I just don't like Tom Baker.

I agree with you completely.

It's the finale of series three, I've read somewhere that that's when Jack comes back to Doctor Who. I guess we know how, but we don't know why...

Ok, so, what do people make of all these 'Saxon' rumours?

saxon?

Ahhh-haaaa...

Mentioned in 'Love and Monsters', on posters in "Captain Jack Harkness" (along with Bad Wolf), and the man who ordered the tanks to fire on the ship in "The Runaway Bride..."

Magic word for next series, one suspects.

I wonder how long they will keep up the "Bad Wolf" thing now that Rose is gone?

And vintageSW77, I can think of allot of people who could do a good job as The Master.

go on lets hear em
ill say David Thelfall
here with master style goatee

he could do menace

In regards to 'Bad Wolf,' I think they'll do it for awhile...

I have a question about the original Dr Who, it's to do with Tom Baker's last story. We meet a being known as the watcher and at the end of the story the watcher turned out to be the Doctor to come. Has anyone else wondered why Tom Baker's regeneration into Peter Davidson was different from the norm?

I know the answer, but can't remember what the reason was. Damn!

Re: Tom Baker's regeneration... what norm? Look at the three regenerations earlier. None of them followed the same pattern as any other.

It wasn't actually until that era of Who that the regeneration concept really became firmly established as how we understand it today.

Calling The Watcher 'The Doctor to come' is a little bit conjecturey...

I may be wrong but as I recall this is the only time we meet the Watcher in Tom Bakers final story and Adric dose make the remark that he (Ref to: the watcher) was the Doctor all long. Or someone else makes the remark, so who is the watcher?
