Official Doctor Who Thread

Which one? LOADS of them! Gallifrey Chronicles, Adventureess of Henrietta Street, The Eight Doctors... he is a semi-regular. Try reading them.

Again, not petty insults, comments you deserve. Stop saying things that deserve them and they will stop.

And hah! No, I am not going to trawl through all those Confidential episodes just to find it for you. At least I have actually WATCHED them, to use them as a source, unlike you trying to use the Watcher (who you have never seen) or the 8th Doctor novels (which you have never read).

Go find it yourself. It's there. if you don't believe me, I staggeringly do not care, because I know it is there for anyone to go see.

No he wouldn't be. If a human was transformed into a pile of jelly, biologicaly they are no longer a human.

Not that he transformed into a pile of jelly, according to the books...

Of course, in the books, the Time Lords still exist. And the Master is one.

Well until you do find it, don't expect me to blindly believe you, not saying your lying just that I do not just accept it.

I've already explained The Watcher mistake, I suggest you go back and read it again.

And the fact remains Lana, IF you go by the 1996 movie, then he is a pile of goop and biologically no longer a Time Lord.

I don't care if you accept it or not. It's there, and you just dare not look for it because you are afraid of being wrong yet again.

I have read it- my comments about your use of the Watcher stand. They were feeble. Try actually checking things out for yourself before you tru and use them in an argument. It is really helpful to actually know what you are talking about.

They never state he is not a Time Lord in the TVM. Just because he does something we haven't seen the Doctor do- did his power of mind control make him 'not a Time Lord'? It was just something he learned to do.

After all, he could not permanently control any TARDIS if he was not a Time Lord. They require regular symbiosis with a Time Lord.

Ert, that was pretty pointless, seeing as I just countered that.

No it covers both points you tried to counter.

Please do me the courtesy of reading what I said two posts before this one. You saying he is not a Time Lord is pure conjecture.

Even when body hopping the Master was still a Time Lord. Like I said, it would be impossible to pilot a TARDIS otherwise.

I already addressed that read the last 2 pages. Read them over as many times as needed. I'm suprized you didn't address that other posters claim of an evil female time lord popping up in the series?

Errrr... you haven't addressed it at all! I really don't get you. You are saying the Master is no longer a Time Lord. I am pointing out that there is no direct evidence of that, and you have not refuted my point in any way other than saying to read what you have said... which is what *I* was refuting. You really must read these things properly!

Incidentally, there were also rumours of Ice Warriors in this series and of Paul McGann and Christopher Eccleston doing a story in season 2; also that the first season story "Boom Town" was about the Master. You have to be careful about rumours.

'Saxon' on the other hand, is different- that has already been seen on screen. Maybe he is the Master? We'll see.

Actually I would've been happy if Byllis (I know I spelt it wrong, sue me) from Torchwood turned out to be The Master.

Also I will explian this one last time and then you will only get a repeated refference to it. What race you are is based on your biology, if a human is turned into a pile of goop then they are no longer a human as they share no biological or phisological similarities. Hence why he needed to take over The Doctor. In his 'goop' state he could no longer use a TARDIS.

Actually, biologically...a Time Lord pile of goo is still a Time Lord. Because part of biology is genetics. And genetically? Still a Time Lord. And thus, biologically still one.

Yet you are incorrect.

The Master has body-hopped before and still remained a Time Lord. Again, learn what you are talking about.

Read that agian, mentally he would still be as he retained the memories and knowledge. But In every other way he no longer is.

You don't know much about biology, do you.

Yes actually, Ask any biologist and they wil you that what you are is determined by your biologial make up.

If a human is turned into a frog, they are no longer a human, because they now posess the biological and physiologial make up of a frog.

If a human is turned to a frog, they are no longer biologically human because they do not contain the genetic material.

However, reducing someone to goop would not remove that genetic material, as they would still contain the same cells as before. Thus biologically they are still what they were before.

Once more.

The Master has body-hopped before but remained a Time Lord. Genetically remained a Time Lord. That is a NECESSITY of TARDIS operation.

Again, you simply don't know enough about your source material to make any comments at all. Forget real life biology, geez.

You have no proof of that. He was turned into an entirely new lifeform, which is why he needed to transfer his mind INTO The Doctor, without The Doctor's body he could not operate the TARDIS. He had the mind of a timelord, nothing more.

Whoever your science teacher in high school was they clearly had more work to do.

If you reduce a human to a pile of moving goop, they are not a human anymroe as they have a new biology. Our genetics determine our shape and biology. If one has changed so has the other.

You saying he had turnedn into an entirely new lifeform is again just your supposition. You have nothing to support that, Body-hopping is just something the master has been known to do. That could very easily have just been a technological technique.

He needed the Doctor's body in the TVM because TARDISes are isomorphic in respect to their owners. But if the Master was no longer a Time Lord, he would never have been able to fly his TARDIS at all after his earlier body hops. which is manifestly not true.

You are presenting supposition as fact. Bad move.

Not as bad a move as trying to insult Lana's education though. She's going to make you pay for that.

Not much good at making friends around here, are you?
