Good to see that the Daleks havent been watered down
i may have missed something in the first series DALEK episode but is it possible that the surviving Dalek is the one that ends up in Van Strattens museum?

The Doctor has often been shown to be resistant to various forms of energy, Starhawk. We just had him surviving radiation doses lethal to Humans a few episodes ago.

And I am afraid not- they were rather specific about that Dalek's origins. It also didn't have a name and so was not part of the Cult.

The Dalek episodes didn't really do it for me. They were far from rubbish though, but I just felt they were both the weakest from this series so far.

Next weeks looks good 🙂

Next week is a 100% traditional story- mad scientist, big monster, Doctor fights, Doctor wins (that last bit's not a spoiler, it's a very reliable guess). Don't expect any surprises. So it's just going to be down to how well written and executed it is.

and after this episode at least well never get see him as the Doctor
Two stories for the show,playing the Doctor in a spoof and the master on top of that AND the radio shows...i bet hed love the job.
A minus of this weeks ep will be the apperance of Marthas family...and they were doing so well keeping them out thus far.

Well I was not really looking forward to this one after the disappointing two part Dalek story but I have to say it was good episode.

Shame the bloody eurovision song contest is on next week which is crap in my book.

As too what's coming up it looks like a two parter (I may be wrong) and interesting. More speculation for you conspiracy nutters is The Master on his way and so on. 🙄

Two week wait that sucks. 🙁

I've only watched the new series of doctor who and I must say it took me a little while to get into it but now that I am, I am like so totally obssessed.

There's absolutely nothing in the OG link about it...and while I think it's likely, I'll believe it when it's from an official source.

Anyway, I liked the episode, creepy sci-fi stuff is always fun.

The trailer was cool too. But then again it had Jack in it so of course I'd think so...

No, just one of his flunkies.

Although there is a good bet that Saxon is the Master, there is no confirmation, so people should be wary. Reagrdless, John Simms (having just done the time-travelling thing... maybe... in Life on Mars) seems to be looking darn good in the role.

Anyway, yes, that was an enjoable enough episode, though ill-paced dramatically, stopping and then starting again. That's normally a problem RTD has, though having said that his opener for this season was very well paced indeed.

It has an interview with John Simms in it. I'm trying to remember the title of the mag, it has "Star" in it but it's not Starlog. The title of the interview looks like this "Doctor Who's latest Mastermind."
