Official Doctor Who Thread

Apart from a few of the production team, none of the DW crew actually went to New York
apart from the odd bulding shot the entire episode was filmed in Wales.
So the Dr and Martha are not in Central Park they are probably in a park in Cardiff
Sure the shots of the Statue of Liberty etc were shot there but Tennant and Freema were added digitally
Bit of a waste of money if you ask me
surely the bbc has plenty of NY footage and seeing as most of it was CGI altered the money would probably been best saved for one of those "expensive" planet set episodes that hurts the series budget so much.

LOL, Meh I still liked the episode regardless of where it was shot.

Hey at least they didn't have Karmer in the episode yelling. "Hey Jerry, I told you there was a pig-man!!"

Ehh. I liked the previous episodes a lot more.

Likewise. The episode was good, but Gridlock really got my attention.

Yeah Gridlock has been the best episode so far.

Really mixed suspense and emotion and overall just good damn entertainment.

An excellent episode.

i thought it was a pile but thats the beauty of Who
someones DOOMSDAY is anothers FEAR HER

What didn't you like about it vintagesSW77?

It was just a lame build up for the Face of BO revelation and as for humans getting pregnant by cats..................................................EW!

Meow pussy cat.

Mmm... good episode tonight, I thought... 😄

I dunno, I've been a bit 'meh' on the whole two parter. Far from unwatchable but I was not greatly gripped.

My verdict of the two part Dalek story is this, it stank the fault was the storyline. As a Dalek fan I felt I was let down by this dribble, the pig slaves were rubbish and the hybrid Dalek was poor and the two part storyline was drawn out. If it was a single episode it may have been a little better.

A much better idea would have the Daleks land in Nazi Germany about 1937 and aid the Third Reich to victory which of cause the doctor would had to stop them from trying to change history.

We are now one third in to the series I hope to see a improvement as the show goes on, as so far it has been below avenge.

Oh heck no. The first three episodes were far better than the average quality from last series, and this last story may not have gripped me but it was no Fear Her.

Quality is going up.

It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. I just thought it all was a bit silly and overdone...and speaking of silly, a supposed New Yorker with a southern accent? Yeah, that amused me.

The first three episodes were certainly a ton better than these past two, and so far I think the Shakespeare Code is the one I've liked best.

I think it was pretty silly, And my Doctor knowledge is limited, but since when can he survive sustained exposure to a lighting bolt that should have roasted him like a marshmallow.

What, you mean you can't do that?

I thought it was at least an interesting concept, the Daleks trying to become something more human so that they wouldn't be fried. Of course, all went to hell...

I think Frank said he hopped the lines from the South, Lana. 😛

Yeah, Rex, I already explained that to her. 😛

And Starhawk? The Doctor isn't human.

Yeah, but you're missing the point. He's not a marshmallow, either! He shouldn't be able to roast to a golden brown tasty goodness. oh

Yes, I'm aware, I missed that line 😛 Probably because the accent just threw me off...

The doctor has been killed by bullets before, I think that many volts running through his system would fry him to a crisp.
