Official Doctor Who Thread

Well, the Outpost gallifrey forums, as with last week, are almost inoperable due to fan traffic, generally considering this two parter as the best since the show's revival and possibly up with the all time greats.

Unsure yet if I go that far- such things always need reflection.

But it was a good story. They even anwered by central query above about the point of it all, and whilst the explanation does not quite seem 100%, it was at least offered, which is much better than leaving it unexplained.

Good stuff, and well done to Mr. Cornell.

Not sure what to make of this two part story so I will have to sit on the fence with this story.

I'm unable to watch it until my speakers are repaired. Doctor Who is less interesting without sound...

The next episode looks like it's going to be the "Love & Monsters" of this season...

Er yea right OK, erm well yea erm. 😕

Well Blink was different I will say that much, good episode.

Yup, pretty good. Took bloody ages to get going was the only issue.

I think I might just be a bit creeped out by statues now.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I didn't blink during that one sequence...

Very, very good. I'm impressed.

Thumbs up for that episode. Better than I thought it would be.

I adored the two parter before the episode Blink. Blink was decent thanks to a good lead. Am I the only one who thinks Sally would make a wonderful Doctor's sidekick.

I liked the original Doctor Who better than its current incarnation.

I knew something was up with jacobi from the start regarding his hartnell style clothing..i know it meant nothing to the character but it was a nice touch
but
WOW
what a great build up to a great revelation
did i hear some Roger Dellgado in there?
im sure i did

a great episode
shame about the Duran Duran WILD BOYS extras though

I ... AM ..THE...MASTER!
i shouted out in appreciation so loud i think the whole street heard me

Congratulations to you lot who knew who was coming back. clapping

What a good episode that was, yes the Master is back. 😱

And are we going to see the return of U.N.I.T next week as they were mention in the trailer.

Think someone got a few ideas from the Ghosts of Mars movie for tonights 'monsters', but apart from that, enjoyed the episode, Ooooooo and John Simm, looking forwards to next weeks. 🙂

Of course, Capt Jack too, yum.

Wow.

A friend of mine is upset that Derek Jacobi didn't keep the job as Master, liking his two minutes on the role.

And to be sure, Derek is one of my favourite actors, an amazing guy and did a damn fine job.

But I think the deliberate decision to create a young, vibrant active Master is a damn good one, and John Simms- going from good guy traveller in Life on mars, which blatantly got him this job- is going to do this very well indeed.

Very good episode!

The final is near 🙁

Good episode, John Simm was good as the Master, unfortuantly my Mum came in talking loudly when he was saying how he was alive and survived the Time War, so I have to either wait for it to be put up on youtube, or the repeat tomorrow ar 8 on BBC Three 🙁

Well, I must say, that was amazing. I love Simm's portrayal of the Master. So brilliant, so evil, and yet so psychotically lovable.

Can't wait for the finale.

I need to fix my speakers...

Master rocks! Do you think that there is anything special with his "companion"?
