Official Doctor Who Thread

Not sure if I liked that episode. It seemed to have more things wrong with it than right. We knew it was going to go either way, but sadly it veered to the bad side. Didn't like the way Martha was misused, or how she overreacted to the dying Hath (couldn't it of swam, being half fish an all?). The thing that was good about the episode seemed to be Donna (who is getting better as the episodes come along) and the Doctor, but even he looked bored through most of it.

I didn't like how it ended, I wasn't a fan of Jenny.

Oh well, another week, another Doctor Who episode to look forward to.

David is named sexiest man ever fantastic ?? info from skynews

on a purely sexist level i thought Jenny was the highlight of this new series
and i liked her character and i hope we see her soon
i dont think weve seen the last of her at all and there are quite a lot of folk (mostly male) on the web who hope they do too

Martha was a bit pointless true but she was very cute with the HAF

I gotta get the latest ep later

Last Saturday's episode for me was a neutral one. It was neither good or bad, the Hath looked cheap to me. As for Jenny, she was a bit of a pain in the ass with all that grinning from ear to ear and if she makes a come back I can only hope there is less grinning.

i got to episode 4/6 and fell asleep
this is happening quite a lot with old Who stories
ive been trying to get to the end of Keeper Of Trakken for a fortnight now and every time i fall asleep 10 mins into where i left off
same thing hapened with Warriors Of The Deep and The Two Doctors
im either knackered or some old Who stories are a bit of a drag

Baker was pretty entertaining in Invasion of Time including the bit where he talks to the camera
the story just dragged on forever

The Two Doctors is worth it just for watching Patrick Troughton.

In fact... most stories with him in are only worth watching for him.

On a fan level, also for Frazer Hines who was always endearing.

On a man level, also for Wendy Padbury who has a nice arse.

i agree with all the above

particularly the last line

sorry to double post but i met Frazier in March at COLLECTORMANIA and he was a top bloke
one of my fave assistants
heres a pic i took of the man

ill be going to this too

Vintage, you mentioned that you hope you see Jenny again. Did you see my post about the script reading meeting?

yeah i did but who did i miss at the cast reading?

Ok so I saw the ep and....it was ok, Doctors daughter was slightly annoying but damn she was hot. Anyways next ep looks ok but again nothing thats really exciting me, still waiting for darleks.

In the Making of programme after on BBC3, there was a clip of the actress who plays Jenny(she read out a line I don't remember in the episode also) in a script meeting/reading. A few seats from her was the actress Lindsay Coulson reading from the same script I would have thought, and she is in a later episode I believe.

ill have to have a look on fri night repeat
mind you thats cut down on Fri
thanks for the heads up

This weeks spin on the werewolf story was erm not sure. The Doctor trying to save himself from being poisoned was a good laugh, as for next weeks not sure what to make of it. Are well find out next week.

A good laugh? I thought that scene with the poison was awful and wayyyy over the top with the guessing what food/liquid to give him, that spoilt it. That's one thing I don't like about Tennant as the Doctor and some of the writers, they do a lot of stuff that is far too over the top that it spoils a perfectly good episode. For me anyway and everyone in my household who watches it.

They also go on for far too long with some dialogue, forgotten quite what it was but Donna was comparing something to something else and she kept going on and on with the examples. Also even though it had some point to it with Agatha pointing out Donna wasn't wearing a ring, I really hope they are not going with the 'we are not a couple' thing in EVERY episode...

Apart from the above, I enjoyed tonights episode.

🙂

So did i.

Thanks to the BBC for letting me get ahead of the American schedule. I kind of know what you are talking about. Can't wait to hear about tonight's!

Couple of funny lines, but other than that an entirely forgettable episode. Comedy in Who is fine, but Who done for comedy doesn't quite work.

nice to know the bloke who appeared in Talons of Weng Chiang and Inferno is still alive but apart from that it was just an ok episode with a couple of laughs
totally dif story but it reminded me of the Peter Davidson era Black Orchid story but thats just me making a lazy observation
we get the big COMING SOON trailer next week before Eurovision though

maybe well see Big D

maybe...
