she isnt just seeing Tennant

But they can still tell which body is which if need be- "Your appearance has changed, but I know who you are" (The War Games).

I know it creates all sorts of difficulties but the point still remains that if she had not met the 10th Doctor- and had a lot of adventures with him- before she wouldn't have reacted as she did; she would be perfectly capable of telling it was the wrong one, else.

What gave you that idea?

Usually a Dalek in charge is red, case in point the Dalek from the Dr. Who movie was red.....As i said Davros obviously had a change of heart to a supreme Dalek.

Your mistaken.

in Dr. Who and the Daleks there was a Red Dalek but he was subordinate to a Black Dalek with silver and gold bumps.

In the Dalek Invasion of Earth 2150 AD the Red Dalek appeared again but was subordinate to a Gold Dalek and a Black Dalek...

However, the films are non-canon and never is the Red or Black Dalek called the Supreme Dalek or Dalek Supreme.

In the Canonical TV series the earliest appearance of a Supreme Dalek is the "Black Dalek" as he is called in the Invasion of Earth serial.

Black Supreme Daleks appear in many more episodes, the most obvious being the Resurrection, Revelation and Remembrance episodes when he is the leader of the Anti-Davros Factions.

Dalek Sec who leads the Cult of Skaro is also Black.

A black and gold Dalek Supreme is in the Planet of the Daleks episode and a Gold Dalek is the leader in Day of the Daleks.

Fact is, this is the first time a red Dalek has appeared in the Doctor Who universe...unless you count the one who was in the Invasion of Earth- red because he was not fully painted I believe and would become the Black Dalek.

Heck, as for wacky stuff, all bets are STILL on with the Red Dalek thing.

Man... still hoping the heaviest rumour isn't true though. Gahhh...

---

As for that whole Red/Black Daelk thing- indeed so, and the reason they have not made this one black I think is threefold.

The first two are related- a. they already used black on Sec, so it might be confusing and b. Red is simply a distinctive colour they have not used yet.

Reason c is more in-universe- the Black Dalek (also the Dalek Emperor; the implication always seemed to be that the Black Dalek was the leader in the field, whilst the Emperor was back on Skaro, which in turn meant there could be several Black Daleks) were opposed to Davros. That being the case, Davros probably wanted his subordinate to look less like his old enemy...

That or it could be (insert name of just about any character you want) inside it. Depends on which rumour you believe.

i have my sick bucket ready for the possibility of THAT heaviest rumour becoming fact

right
nearly there

here we go!

Oh bugger, it WAS true...

Great episode, trailer for the Christmas episode looked great...CYBERMEN!!!!😄

Not too shabby indeed.

So...Davros escaped?

Oh, Davros is like the Master. He always gets away.

In fact this very moment I am typing this RTD just said that in Confidential.

RTD said that Davros got away?

Well, he said he always gets away.

Yeah...but the last time we saw the master he got shot and died..

And we've seen him trapped in a collapsing universe with no escape and also burned to death with everyone watching.

No, these people are indestructible, like the Doctor himself.

How can the master return I wonder

Well, RTD left the ring thing in at the end of series 3, if anyone wanted to make use of it.

Actually, though, the same spoiler sources that got it right about what just happened in that story just gone also had another interesting tidbit. These people are not infallible so this is not certain fact, but they do have a good record.

According to said source, there was plan to have the Master show in that finale, not for very long, but in some returning respect. There was even word that John Simms had shot some studio footage (making it possibly a flashback, or a recording from his Saxon days, though it might have been a full-on return).

But that plan was scrapped because they decided to bring him back rather more substantially at some later point- perhaps, so they say, for next year's specials...

I wonder if he'll be in season 5

That is up to Mr. Moffat. I have this suspicion he will want to carve out something new- we've not actually had a finale yet that involved a new bad guy. I'm all for Classic nostalgia, but the new series has got to make its own imprint on the bad guy mythology as well.

Dalek Kaan might have survived also, who knows. This is the third time the Doctor has destroyed all the Daleks...they came back before they will do it again.

RTD wanted the Slytheen to be the big baddies- back when they didnt think they were going to get the Daleks he said that was his big monster to replace them.

I guess we get original villains because they are the originals and the most powerful villains the doctor has ever had

Yes, getting pretty boring that, the whole Dalek destroying thing. I was really hoping they would leave them in this time, because they keep having to explain how they have been rebuilt from scratch again. Also, having the 'push the big red button and they all die' plot use is aggravating, and also makes them seem pretty useless.

May as well just leave them still there and be done with it.

Oh, which reminds me- this story has buggered up the plot of season 1s story 'Dalek'...
