USH'S LORD OF THE RINGS GAME PART 3- The Tournament and the Traitor

Oh, my bad. Shield against A, then.

Oooh- a 95 from Menelacar is better! A 16B and this time the wound goes in. A slice on his forearm, +4 hits, two points of bleeding, and stunned one roundm, which rules him out of attacking this turn. Good blow!

57 from Anglomir hits for 5...

And a 72 from Talin is an 18A, wound goes nowhere but the damage is solid.

Well now this seems to be a heavy-hitting turn! An 87 is rolled against Talin for an 18A,... and the wound roll is high!

Breaks bone in leg. +12 hits, -40 to activity, stunned two rounds. Well, they've been hammeing away at the Dwarf and finally someone's got him with a low leg blow to the rear of the knee. Nasty... Talin, whilst stunned your actions are at a heavy penalty (which, with a broken leg, you already have a -40 to all rolls) and you beconme very vulnerable to attack.

A 31 against Anglomir does nothing.

-

Menelacar: 43 (1he)/5 (C/Shield)/0/68

Talin: 66 (1hc/axe)/15 (C/Shield)/5/52 (-40 to activity, stunned two rounds).

Anglomir: 45 (1he)/5 (RL/Shield)/10/70

Arnorian A: 60 (1hc)/0 (C/Shield)/-5/63

Arnorian B: 60 (1hc)/0 (C/Shield)/-5/15

Arnorian D: 60 (2h/axe)/0 (C)/-5/34 (Bleeding 2)

Ouch! Looks nasty. Do you think you need rescuing Talin?

Yeesh... I'm going to bank on Talin's resilience and say finish off your own targets. So Talin cannot attack for the next two rounds but can defend himself? And is the -40 to activity permanent?

Anglomir will keep after Arnorian B since he has gotten much closer to falling thanks to Talin's effort.

Permanent, no. Just for as long as your leg is broken...

Oh man, Talin is not going to be of much use in this fight. He will stand his ground against these foes, using his shield against Arnorian A.

Menelacar will go full on attacking D.

Desperate times! Still, only a game...

Anglomir rolls 79 in this intense melee which has concentrated now in the centre ground. 9 hits against Chain. I am afraid a 16 from Menelacar doesn't do the job.

A 73 is rolled against Anglomir by A, an 108 for a 12T. Nothing from the T, so just the damage.

And then as if desperate to ram the point home, a 98 is rolled against Talin by B. That is an 18C- 'Blow to shield arm breaks shield'

A 21 against Menelacar does nothing; luckily that two-hander has had little effect yet.

-

Menelacar: 43 (1he)/5 (C/Shield)/0/68

Talin: 66 (1hc/axe)/15 (C)/5/36 (-40 to activity, stunned one round).

Anglomir: 45 (1he)/5 (RL/Shield)/10/58

Arnorian A: 60 (1hc)/0 (C/Shield)/-5/63

Arnorian B: 60 (1hc)/0 (C/Shield)/-5/6

Arnorian D: 60 (2h/axe)/0 (C)/-5/32 (Bleeding 2)

Come on Menelacar - D again!

I'll just give a day to see if Anglomir wants to change tack.

Things are looking grim for Talin, here. I doubt he will last long... so Anglomir needs to put Arnorian B down so that he can contend with Arnorian A. Smarting from the blow he just received, Anglomir goes for an overhead swing with his sword-arm and keeps his shield against his opponent.

Talin will stay the course. Not much he can do about his shield being destroyed right now.

82 from Menelacar gets a result! A 13A, though the A goes nowhere. And a 97 from Anglomir finishes B off!

A rolls a 48 against Anglomir for 3 damage... but then D rolls a 94 against Menelacar in this sprawling melee. That is a 26B from a two-handed weapon, which also gives a secondary T Crush critical (which goes nowhere).

Medium thigh wound- + 6 hits, one hit per round, -10 to activity, stunned two rounds

-

Menelacar: 43 (1he)/5 (C/Shield)/0/36 (Bleeding 1, -10 to activity stunned two rounds)

Talin: 66 (1hc/axe)/15 (C)/5/36 (-40 to activity).

Anglomir: 45 (1he)/5 (RL/Shield)/10/58

Arnorian A: 60 (1hc)/0 (C/Shield)/-5/60

Arnorian D: 60 (2h/axe)/0 (C)/-5/17 (Bleeding 2)

After taking his opponent out of the fight, Anglomir rounds on the Arnorian that Menelacar is contesting with. He tries to smash him in the back with his sword to ultimately take him out of the fight due to the Arnorian's tired state. Anglomir thinks that removing him will allow Menelacar and himself to assist their ailing Dwarvish friend.

Can Menelacar do anything at all for the 2 rounds?

I think you can literally act whilst stunned but the attacking penalty is so large that in this context it is not worth it.

So I can go all out defensive with my shield? In that case I shall do that.

A limping Talin will try to fend off Arnorian A, swinging his axe at him.

Anglomir rolls a handy 84 inflicting 12 damage... not quite enpugh to take him down...

An 06 from Talin is... well, let's just move on from that one.

Ah. I just rolled a 98 on Anglomir as D, facing him as Anglomir came for him, makes a chop. That is actually a 40C slash critical with an A Crush coming along as well.

The C doesn't roll too badly but is issue enough- Blow to Upper Leg, +5 hits. But the A rolls better- +4 hits, - 40 to activity for one round. tghat's a pretty nasty 49 damage in all.

A rolls a 77 on Talin for a 16A, though the A goes nowhere.

-

Menelacar: 43 (1he)/5 (C/Shield)/0/35 (Bleeding 1, -10 to activity stunned one round)

Talin: 66 (1hc/axe)/15 (C)/5/20 (-40 to activity).

Anglomir: 45 (1he)/5 (RL/Shield)/10/9 (-40 to activity for one round)

Arnorian A: 60 (1hc)/0 (C/Shield)/-5/60

Arnorian D: 60 (2h/axe)/0 (C)/-5/15 (Bleeding 2)

Lord Farael calls out if either side wishes to yield... before anyone is killed. The Arnorians, under the eyes of their own, do not.
