"No, that is not shelfish at all. It is anything but. Coming here to help people, any peole, even if they are not your own people." Tenharien nodded and closed his eyes. "I am also ehre to help.Even if...I am not supposed to."

"So you think Farael as a warmongerer? What of the other Lords?"

"Farael is a man of war, there can no doubt there, though I would say that at least his battle plans do not seem to involve invasion. As for others... well, I am sure several want the jobs. I have not inquired too deeply."

"What are the other Lords like? Forgive my prying my lord, but as a new member of the Gondorian diplomatic delegation I am still finding my bearings. I have heard tale, for example, that Lord Halatir does not look favourably upon Gondorians. What of Lords Annphor, Morsire or Annuneryn?"

He shrugs.

"I am hardly one to gossip. Annphor is a friend of the Chamberlain's, Morsire one to the young Prince, and Annuneryn is very young."

"I mean not to gossip, my lord, merely to become acquainted with the people of interest in Fornost. Forgive me if I seem forward. Will you be particiapting in the Tournament?"

"Oh my, no! Not my speciality at all."

"Perhaps I will see you there as a spectator?"

"But of course! Do you intend to take part yourself?"

"Yes, I shall be turning my hand to the fencing competition, and perhaps one or two others! I look forward to seeing you again there."

And with that, providing Lord Seinost doesn't openly admit to being the traitor or tell him who is, Menelacar will say his goodbyes and leave in order to fing Lord Annphor.

That would be a tad of a slip up!

Ok, so where do we stand right now?

Well, I'm just making myself acquainted with all the Lords of the Council that no-one else has yet, purely for a 'testing the water' kind of affair, checking their attitudes to the new armies and relationships/opinions of other members of the ruling council.

I have added some notes on Seinost to the 'People of Interest' thread.

If we want go ahead with the Tourney, thats fine with me also.

Tenharien looked down for but a second, opening his eyes back up and looking around slowly at the soil beneath him. What would it take to keep order? Was he even ready for an activity. Everyone else seemed to be.

Darvan contemplated the new elf, then turned away.

I think starting the tourney would be good - it'd give us a chance to have all the Lords in the same place.

Would it help if we restate which competitions we're entering?
