Well it HAS been talked about, I just can't remember if you were in on it or not.
"Amon Los was at least at the border. But Princess Firiel's convoy and the Fortress at Baranar were attacked by Orcs at great precision and speed, and in numbers. The convoy attack in particular was troublesome- deep in our borders. I refuse to believe Orcs are just walking across the border unnoticed."

Ok, whoever wants to be up next for the archery... is up next!Gorlim is busy applauding. He is also surrounded by paperwork.
"Oh, young Menelacar, is it?" he says. He tries to clear away various scrolls from the chairs near him.
"Yes, my lord," replies Menelacar, "I trust you are enjoying the tournament? I've had a very interesting discussion with Lord Annuneryn - what do you make of the fellow? And who is his father?"
"Nothing, my lord! I merely ask as Annuneryn insinuated it was his father's influence that gained him a seat on the council at so young an age. Who is he anyway? I must admit, Lord Gorlim - and I tell you this in confidence - there was something about Annuneryn that didn't quite sit right with me. It may have been just arrogance, but..."
Of course! Silly me. I will rephrase.
"Oh, nothing, my lord! I merely ask as Annuneryn mentioned him in our conversation. Who was he anyway? I must admit, Lord Gorlim - and I tell you this in confidence - there was something about Annuneryn that didn't quite sit right with me. It may have been just arrogance, but... what is your opinon of him?"

"Well, without knowledge of the event, and with your beliefs, it would seem that somebody must have helped them."
Before you came here, nothing.
But as far as the game is concerned, you pretty much have to know of those things before playing starts because I have already halted the game too many times to bring in new people. So we'll have to take your introduction to the group as read, and out you straight into the game.
Okay, I have read it all and I will assume that Pallidan explained something to Elladil. But he still wants to know what happened with his friend, Vardalain, he went to Arthedain after him. Elladil will defer to Pallidan, he has much respect for the Noldor.
Can I join the conversation with Morsire and Elendur?
"Please forgive us for misjudging your etiquette. We don`t know much about your customs. But are you familiar with the ways of Noldor? They are the greatest and noblest of our kind in Middle-Earth" -Elladil speaks to Morsire.
Well, of all elves Noldor are most likely to be arrogant, right? I was always thinking of high elves as kind of angelic beings- very righteous, but certainly proud and sure of themselves. Elladil is young and more humble.
Elladil is too late to take part for archery contest? Would anything besiedes riddles be suitable for Animist? My character is decent fighter, right? But he doesn`t like violence.

"So some people think. I'm not concerned with that. Helped or not, no-one could have turned those Orcs invisible."---
"Annuneryn is... too young. And his father was Lord, which is where the problem is."
"You are suggesting, perhaps, that they came from inside the borders?"
"Either that or they have some route across that is in some way hidden to us. Regardless, they are striking far too fast and accurately and in great numbers to simply be walking out of Angmar. Or even Rhudaur, and I have no evidence to suggest that the Orcs have moved down there."
-
Level One characters are decent on the scale of your average soldier, but not decent on the scale of personalities. A decent Orc would kill you without much effort.
The inferiority or otherwise of the Noldor I have addressed in the 'People of Interest' thread.
"This is our country and, as your leaders have told us, our Age," says Morsire. "It is our ways that interest me, not yours."
"I understand it all, Lord Morsire. I apologize for our blunt behaviour, please forgive us." -Elladil bows humbly.
"But I am sure your country can use the aid of our kind. I thought King Arthedui wanted to call upon all beings of good will. Myself, I know very little of your ways, I am very young for an elf and I have never been in human lands before. I came here to aid my friend Varalain, but it seems he disappeared".
"Well, most of my kind are very cautious beings, and we are hesitant to send our men to die. The number of Quendi in Middle Earth is decreasing, and as few elves are born nowadays those fallen would not replaced. Master Elrond certainly cares about the descendants of his brother, and he would never abandom the line of Ellendil. But last time he sent his forces to fight for Arnor and drove Witch King from Cardolan, Dunedan Lords wasted the opportunity to unite against the forces of Darkness. Master Elrond believes that the troubles of Dundeains in the North is the result of their own infighting that devided Arnor in three.
But Master Elrond is vary of King`s Arvedui vissionary plans. If King of Arthedain was to unite all Dunadains and restore part of Arnor`s glory, my brethren would surely be more eager to give direct aid. Especially if it was revealed that Witch King is more of a threat that it seemed before."
Elladil tries not to appear arrogant or lecturing.
