Well, we want to check up on Erathran as he's dead and he was a friend of the younger Prince who an elf saw burning a note in the fire creating big suspicion on him. Menelacar is in the heritage library investigating his name on the advice of the elves, who can't get in there themselves. He is then on his way to talk to the Princess about her brother and Annuneryn. However, others feel free to do that instead, although he is Gondorian and so is her mother.

Elladil will want to go with Menelacar to the Princess.

"It is honor to meet you, I don`t know much about the Gondorians. So what exactly are we investigating?"

(Menelacar is in the heritage library at present and Elves aren't allowed in there! He will continue his conversation with Elladil when he comes back out again!)

Gwilwileth simply waits for the Gondorian Menelacar to return.

"Should we have reason to suspect that the Prince is up to no good?" she asks, to whomever will answer. "It is a dark matter when royalty, those that the people should be looking to for guidance, deal in unsavory situations..."

Nothing greatly important on the name, Menelacar. Son of a not insignificant nobleman but nothing of any note you can find.

Menelacar, on the way out from his fruitless sojourn into the library, spies the Elves, and is greeted by Eladil.

"Hello my elven friend. Well, as I'm sure your colleagues here can tell you, we are investigating treacherous goings on in the council. We have reason to believe the King's youngest son may have some line in it, while the Lord Annuneryn is also under suspicion."

He also replies to Gwilwileth:

"Was it not what you witnessed on the balcony? He has some connection with that murdered Dunedain, and burnt a message found on him. Strange behaviour. Most unbecoming of royalty, of course. However, if you think the kings of men are all honourable people, you have much to learn of men."

"I admit that my experience with the Edain is minimal," Gwilwileth replies. "The Greenwood is not an inviting place for unwanted guests, which Man in its entirety seems to be.

"But yes, that is what I witnessed. But we can hardly bring it to question. I was eavesdropping and he is a Prince of Arthedain."

"It seems like Prince wants to keep some affairs secret. Why should we think he has bad intentions?" -Asks Elladil incredously.

"Why should we think he hasn't?" replies Menelacar, "our instructions are to search for a traitor. As such, any strange behaviour by council members needs to be looked at in more detail, Prince or not."

Palidan overhears the conversation going on and strides over.
"But what would the Prince seek to gain through handing his kingdom to the Witch-King?"

Good question, something that must be considred for all suspects.

"He has little to gain," Talin says. "If the King succeeds in uniting the kingdom in a renewed and stronger Arnor, he will defeat the prophecy and the Prince has the potential to become King. He could not gain much by having his own kingdom destroyed."

"Unless he doesn't know the kingdom will be destroyed. Perhaps the Prince has been promised the kingdom. I have also heard this Witch-King has...'powers', 'influence' over people. Perhaps the Prince is not himself."

"Possible, but unlikely. Especially when there may be more viable suspects."

"To whom do you refer? Annuneryn?"

Just a reminder- Elendur is the youngest son. It is Aranarth who is in line for the throne.

"Indeed I do, there is much suspicion regarding him."

"I believe this is a reasonable thought, as he is the younger son and thus not likely to actually become king."

"I agree Annuneryn has much suspicion on him. Perhaps they could be in collusion?"

"With the way things are going, none of this is unlikely, I feel," Talin says. "But we should establish that they have a connection, Elendur and Annuneryn, before we decide that that is how things are. But I agree, Elendur may be seeking the throne as he is less-than-likely to achieve it."
