That was piss poor writing in my opinion. Eclipso outsmarted EVERYONE including Luthor, Brainiac and Batman and nearly brought the world to its knees in his prior battles.

CM has the mind of child. The Wisdom of Solomon just steers him in the right direction. He IS getting smarter now. Billy's a teenager now. Back then he was STUUUUUUUUPID. Now has some common sense. That's why back then he was just a reserve despite his awesome power. He couldn't function very well. Now he's much better.

Regardless, Surfer can certainly move his arms and legs at greater than light speed. He can think at greater than light speed. He can react at greater than light speed.

Why wouldn't he be able to fight at greater than light speed?

That doesn't show Surfer being knocked off of his board. What is the story behind that picture?

You sure about that? When he is moving at lightspeeds, he on the board just standing. How are you so certain that he can move his arms, legs etc at lightspeeds also?

there is a scan posted in the Superman vs Silver Surfer thread of Surfer breaking out of a device in less than a nanosecond.

In this scan, Surfer is thinking, reacting, and moving his arms and legs, all at greater than light speeds.

Mind you, the device is draining Surfer's power, making him weaker.
