it is true. during 9/11 bush was at a school reading to children, which was aired on live television. do you deny that? i hope not because its fact. cheney was grabed and dragged to the bunker in a heartbeat the second those planes were hijacked...while bush just sat there in that classroom for another 20 minutes with no effort to bring him to safety.

On a Bicycle in Beltsville, Blissfully Unaware

When the state of red alert was declared yesterday, the vice president was evacuated from the White House and the first lady was whisked to a secure location. But no precautions were needed for President Bush.
He was out at the Patuxent Wildlife Research Center in Beltsville, riding his bicycle -- at noon on a Wednesday -- blissfully unaware. "The decision was made to inform the president upon conclusion of his bike ride," Bush press secretary Scott McClellan said later.
It was not the first time a crisis has focused uninvited attention on the Bush fitness routine. On a weekday morning in February 2001, when a gun-wielding man was shot outside the White House, it quickly emerged that Vice President Cheney was working in his office, while Bush was exercising in his residence.
Bush opponents have tried -- to no avail -- to profit politically from the president's leisure activities. Anti-Bush filmmaker Michael Moore poked fun at Bush's long vacation in Texas before the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks and his admonition on the golf course to "watch this drive" after commenting on Middle East violence.
But the president, while scaling back the golf outings, has made little effort to conceal his more cardiovascular activities -- inviting reporters on occasion to go running with him and, after his knees worsened, to go mountain biking.
Bush told Runner's World magazine in 2002 that his running times "have become faster right after the war began." He added: "For me, the psychological benefit is enormous. You tend to forget everything that's going on in your mind and just concentrate on the time, distance or the sweat."
Still, McClellan couched his explanation of Bush's activity yesterday carefully, reminding listeners of Bush's trip to Europe.
"First of all, as you all are aware, the president was off-site, getting in a bike ride after returning from a four-day trip overseas," he said.
The small group of reporters who escorted Bush to Beltsville reported that they heard nothing of the plane scare until after it was over.
In follow-up answers e-mailed to reporters late in the day, McClellan said that Bush's Secret Service detail was informed soon after the incident began but that they chose not to disturb the perspiring president. After an hour and 24 minutes on the trails, Bush went back to work.

thats why bush will be safe. he knows how to 'play ball' and his only true enemies are dirt poor and stand little chance in succeeding in their efforts to get at him. of coarse there are freak occurances (reagan shot by a lunatic obsessed with jodie foster) but for the most part, presidents are assassinated through the commands of those who share his power over america.

there are more than just the poor who stand to lose out. when the world it f*cked because he's ok'ed not only the cutting down of a large ammout of the natural forest and the drilling for oil in nature preserves, theres gonna be alot of people who are mighty pissed of, and i'm sure its gonna be the rich as well as the poor. bush has made enemys on every level on the wealth scale. plus, what has the ammount of money you have got to do with how good you'd be at killing someone? Oswald had sweet f*ck all money, did that make the holes in JFK's head any less real?

Unlike some people in the states, alot of people from other countries actually know what goes on in the world, and not just their backyard.
It seems to me sometimes world leaders have this strange aura of protection around them, or they die suddenly and mysteriosley. This isn't the case all the time but you can't help but see strange timings in some world leaders death or see how freaky it is that you can't seem to kill them no matter what you do. Remember George Washington? That man was the only man left on a horse in a certain battle and he had bullet holes riddles in his cloak. An indian chief was quoted as saying George Bush was protected by "the great spirit". Adolf Hitler. For all intensive purposes that man should have died by an assassination attempt. I read reports on it and its eerie he survived. It sounded like, from what i remember, if he had been standing just a few steps away in any direction he would have died. Also there are times when they just suddenly out of nowehere die. General Patton died in a car accident like in the same time vacinity as he was supposed to soon be leaving back for America. Weird timing. Forget the president but some ex president died from a sickness he got when reading his acceptance speech in the cold. Look at Pope John, he is lucky and according to him it was devine intervention, and i woudn't disagree with him whatever your faith happens to be. For some reason there seems to be invisible hands allowing, and sometimes proventing, peoples deaths, and in my opinion, when it comes to world leaders you can almost see this expodentially and the situations are even more bizzare and happen more frequently than how they do with the genral populace. Thats my theory
This concerning to Bush? If hes meant to die he'll die, point blank. Wether the leader is good or eveil it seems like 'Fate' or 'God' or whatever you want to label makes the decisions, pulls the plug whenever it feels like it.

im not talking about people who know the harm he is doing and hate hi for it, i'm talking about those who would attempt to kill him. i doubt ted kennedy is going to bust in the oval office with a pistol..or any other opponent. big difference between those who hate him and sickos who would assassinate him.
