I predict this future-proof console will stay for 10+ more years.
Its processing power is just far ahead from the competition. 👆
As much as you can call PS2 or Xbox 'staying' after 10 years they were released.

Fun factThe PS3 has had moar recent success then 360, and will more likely then not surpass the 360 in sales.
Yay.
Hmmph. The last sales report had the 360 outselling PS3 as it's customary by now. Or are you talking about something else?
EDIT: Sorry for the double post. I had a massive lapse of attention and ended up posting instead of editing.

I'm talking how the PS3 has moar games and console exclusives then the 360.
And the 360 only has 3 million moar units sold. It won't be long until the PS3 catches up.
The PS3 does not have more games; the 360 still has a lead on that. Also, the fact that it may or may not have more exclusives isn't relevant as 360 exclusives still sell far more, and non-exclusives sell significantly better on the 360. The 360 also has a much higher software attach rate than the PS3 (as in, twice as much).
PS3 is catching up, but I don't think it will actually do so.

Legit games like inFamous 2 and hopefully Kingdom Hearts 3 will change that. 360 be damned.
Infamous 2 is not going to come out for some time because people were put off enough by the character redesign that they pretty much had to scrap everything and go back to the drawing board.
And while the Kingdom Hearts games are popular, I'd hesitate to bank on it. Considering there has been absolutely nothing on it whatsoever.

And when you lessen the gap enough, it begins to open in the other direction. As I said before, 360 be damned.
And yet that still hasn't happened. I can only think of one game that was 360 exclusive that went multiplatform, and that was well after release. Meanwhile, PS3 exclusives that went multiplatform because the developers didn't think they'd make enough are much easier to find.
LBP2 is going to up the ante a bit, imo.
And the PS3 WILL continue to catch up, even after this gen is over.
Micro$oft will release another half-baked console, but the PS3 will be here to stay, considering the fact that until now the console has not been fully utilized to its max potential... A whopping 1.8 TFLOPs of GPU!
