I still think his height is the main reason he has got to wear he is today though. He is not the best technical player, He isn't great in the air, he doesn't have amazing skill... his height cause's defenders problems which is why he will be in the England squad for the world cup because no other English forward has that.
Why has he got to wear 'he is today'? Sure, it's important to stay in the moment, but there's nothing wrong with the clothes he had the previous day; 'he was yesterday', I think they were called...
I guess it's just a sign on the times. Footballers are paid so much money, they could probably just choose to wear 'he will be tomorrow', and no-one would bat an eye-lid. Still, I don't think Beattie is much more economical with his dress-sense. I guess all these footballers skipped Civics class in favour of some more time on the pitch. It's a shame really...Oh, well...
