I hope he does go to Germany so 'HE' can prove to the world he is not good because chances are he will not start and he will not come on as substitue unless England is winning the match. In the World Cup its the defence and midfield that win the games not the Forwards.

Jermain Defoe is a better technical player than Crouch, he's a better goal scorer than crouch, and even though hes not playing regularly for Tottenham atm he's still managed to rack up more league goals than Crouch... explain that one...

what does Crouch have that say.... James Beattie doesnt? (since you seem to love Crouch for his ability to head the ball, even though its well versed that he isnt actually that great in the air, he's just tall.)

Beattie is better than him in the air, better than him on the ground, but because he's not 6'7" he's not in the team... i mean im 6'3" and a bit and dont fall over myself half as much as Crouch, can i go to Germany as well?

i understand England need a different option upfront, since our actual good strikers aren't very strong in the air... Owen, Rooney and Defoe... but i dont understand why that option has to be Crouch, since he's not really, honestly, that good... or in form... or scoring regularly... i mean to be in a club thats 2nd in the league and only have scored 3 goals is pretty pathetic.

I'm not insulting Deano because he likes Crouch, I don't care who he likes, it's entirely up to him.

I'll tell you why he shouldn't take James Beattie, because Peter Crouch is a better all round player, once again, this is only opinion, but you'll find very few people around who dispute it, I personally would take Crouch, because A) he's scored for England, Beattie hasn't and B) I feel he is a much better player
