I agree... the only teams at the top should be the ones who have won world cups to start off

Like Uruguay?

Df02! Hi, it's me again! Hi! I've already explained where you went wrong on all points about 5 times! What's your malady? In the first instance they came up, you could have laughed about your mistake and moved on. Instead, you have attempted to justify your blatently incorrect posts over nearly 3 pages! How strange!

Trabelsi 'issue': i dont think we necessarily needed a better right back... Stalteri is ok, and Stephen Kelly is good and young as well. But when you get Hatem Trabelsi for free you arent gonna turn him down.

Again, like I have stated numerous times, saying that we don't "necessarily need a better right back" is akin to saying we don't need to improve as a team. DO YOU UNDERSTAND? YES! I'M SHOUTING!

Davids issue: Davids will be prominent yea, but i hope he gets back on form, his last few performances have been dismal... Jol is clearly playing him unfit, which just leaves us with dead weight... he is, however, a huge influence on the team psychologically and could be in the team on those grounds alone.

That's nice, but let's not forget what you stated earlier in regards to Davids:

he is playing rubbish atm, and the only benefit he has given spurs is a psychological boost.

he's clearly not fit, and at 35ish he's not going to be the world class player he was ever again... doesnt stop me loving the fact he plays for us haha

There. Now, I'll attend to them as a whole, seeing as you believe I am somehow manipulating your words to make you look bad (I don't need to do anything to affect that result).

Even with your ammended 'tactical deadweight', your posts regarding Davids are very inconsistent. Apparently, he's "prominent", "dismal", "a huge influence on the team", "too old now", "rubbish", and you "love the fact he plays for us". Riiiiiight, all that makes sense. Suuuuuure.

Now, we are left with this gem:

the only ground you have to stand on is in the Davids quote i left out the word tactically before dead weight... but since id used it after 'unfit' i thought you'd realise i was talking about on the pitch. since being unfit has no impact on a person psychological impact.

OK, you admit you were wrong, that's good. However, you then state you are talking about his capacity "on the pitch". Does his "huge psychological" influence somehow diminish on the pitch? No? I thought not. So, there we are again; you speaking nonsense.

hey i got an idea, why dont i start a topic about how Tottenham should buy the best player for every position because you know... always room for improvement until then?

I don't know if you think you are making some extrordinary point here, but of course, all teams are naturally trying to improve. It's the nature of the game.

i wont complain if we get a better player for a position that we already have covered adequately.

I think you should complain because it means we're improving, and - according to your reasoning - that's bad.

now that ive put everything ive said over the course of your pathetic argument, you should be able to grasp that ive said nothing stupid at all, you have just argued mute points for... well... i dont know what for to be honest.
shut up and give up, please... i didnt actually think you were a cock until you started spouting all this rubbish haha, i used to enjoy having someone to talk about Tottenham with on a forum that doesnt have a huge amount of football fans on it.

You have said stupid things. Many, many times. I am also here to talk about football in general, and Spurs in particular. However, everytime I have corrected one of your inconsistencies, I have done so in a playful manner. It's you, dear boy, who has started having a tantrum and attempted to argue a case for an error. I don't know why you do it, do you?

now seriously, give the **** up... leave this topic to die, because its pointless, and maybe this thread can move on... if it helps ill make a new account (secretly) and come on here, quote all the times you tried to be funny and laugh at them, so you get that fuzzy feeling of appreciation you're soo obviously striving for.

"Mum! This boy's talking smack to me, then being all sarcastic. I don't like it! Mum! Mum! Muuuuuuuummy!", etc.

OK, let's move on:

Spurs are trying to buy Juan Arango. He's a talented, goal-scoring attacking-midfielder, who has been playing really well this season in the Spanish League. However, we already have Tainio in this position. Should we improve on the quality of our squad, or stick with what we've got? Your thoughts, please...

congratulations, welcome to the ignore list... you couldnt grasp simple words and phrases, so i cant be bothered trying anymore, really shoulda done it at the beginning, but i had hope you'd realise how pointless your argument was

oh and for the record, spurs arent trying to buy jaun arango, they thought about it in the summer but arent doing anything about it now

not necessarily, some past winners arent really deserving of a top5 spot currently and vice versa, i just think points should be allocated with regards to quality of opponents as well as whether they won lost or drew

More evidence in my case against you being ignorant? Sweet. I think you're bluffing though, you love me too much to ignore me completely.

Oh, dear. What a warped little world you live in! White is actually black, right? Thought so. You silly boy.

Not according to the guys at skysports.com. They did this article only a few days ago. New Spurs Arango Bid. The catelogue of instances showing your undoubted - and spectacular - ignorance grows and grows!

That would be like a slap in the face to the weak opponent. What if Brazil faced England wouldnt England be the weakest?

not really... it'd just mean that if a weaker team beat a stronger team theyd gain more points than if a stronger team beat a weaker one.

it'd ensure that points were allocated according to the difficulty of the victory as well as the actual victory itself, and would ensure a table that truly reflects the quality of the teams.

In your infinite wisdom, how would you decide which are the 'stronger' teams and which are the 'weaker' teams? By results? Uh-oh..."Houston, we have a problem"....

I'm picking:

Arsenal, Lyon, Barca, Inter (all over the two legs).

lol Nah Juve is gonna beat Arsenal, and I'm pretty sure AC wil win it's match

im goin with Juve, Lyon, Barca and Inter

well, that was the single least convincing Spurs win i've seen all season, if not ever.

we played terrible, and i don't understand why Davids was kept on until the 84th minute, i'd have taken him off at 60... every pass was played backwards, and offtarget haha, he didnt even do his usual pitbull-ish closing down.

anyway, it was a classic relegation battling display from west brom, 10men behind the ball, closing down everything... basically killing the game, and the sad thing is it works against us better than against any other team, even Arsenal.

Carrick was off-form
Davids was off-form
Lee was giving the ball away alot, and didnt look very good at all
neither Dawson nor King looked reliable which is a shame because Dawson has been an absolute rock for the last few games.

on a side note about Dawson, i've never realised how good he is at passing before today, those upfield diagonal balls were brilliant for a defender... he's, imo, almost as good a bargain as Carrick and Robinson were.

"you have to feel sorry for Kusyak" - like **** i do, timewasting all game and lied about being elbowed... glad he messed up for our penalty, even though i dont think we really deserved it haha.
