I do believe Adebayor is replaeable, but him leaving would make it seem like Arsenal can't hold on to their players, and then comes the vultures.

There's a reason for that, but of course that would make me a conspiracy theorist.

All I'll say is, it's always Arsenal. Nobody chases any other club's players with such ferocity, bar Ronaldo.

No, you're just a conspiracy theorist... what about the constant Berbatov speculation? Good players always get constant links away, especially when there is perceived to be 'bigger' clubs interested in them.

Name a player bar Ronaldo who has matched the speculation of Henry, Adebayor, Hleb, Flamini etc. Berbatov? No.

Constant? I swear that died down in about a month because nobody actually gives a shit. Robbie Keane/Darren Bent combo has potential to be much better than anything Berb has done.

All it amounts to now is Berbatov and/or Spurs saying "Don't nobody try buying him.". As is anybody is now anyway, anyone "big". Man Utd might, cos Fergie buys people who do good against them. It's like Torres saying "I'm not leaving Liverpool.". Nobody asked because nobody gives a shit. There's a reason A.C. Milan and Barca are rabidly after Adebayor, Hleb and formerly Flamini. Not to mention Fabregas.

Santa Cruz, Bentley, Ronaldinho, Sidwell, Wright-Phillips, Benzema, Eto'o...Those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

Well, two players are generally better than one, but the Keane/Berbatov combo was excellent last season.

Because they're decent players at a club that can't hold on to their own?

None of those even come close to matching the speculation.

And no, that's not why. They're after them because they're some of the world's best, otherwise they'd go for better options.

Arsenal have lost one player so far. Not sure why everyone is acting like everyone has left. Besides, it's not Arsenal's fault if people wanna leave based on MONEY. It's not success. Milan didn't do anything last year.

Every day there are stories about those dudes I mentioned.

Teams generally don't try to buy bad players. Also, other teams know that Arsenal players can be easily tempted elsewhere.

Well, they won that Club World Cup, which is one trophy more than Arsenal.

Flamini had 1 club interested in him and he said very early on he wanted to leave... most of the news was just updates on that situation, hardly rabid speculation.
Adebayor is receiving a lot of attention because he keeps changing his mind and making comments about where he wants to be... nothing to do with Arsenal as a club.
I haven't seen Hleb in the papers for weeks.

All last season you couldn't turn on the tv or open the sports pages without seeing Berba being linked with a new club. so yes, it has matched it.

The Olimpico based club are currently looking for a striker to add some muscle up front and they have been keeping tabs on Adrian Mutu.

However, Fiorentina seem reluctant to sell the Romanian and this had lead the Gillorossi to reconsider their plans and look elsewhere.

Il Corriere Dello sport has reported that Bendtner is an ideal candidate to joining Luciano Spalletti’s men.

The Danish striker was also linked with a move to Milan but Roma seems likely and his agent revealed that he is ready told meet Giallorossi transfer chief Daniele Prade to get talks underway.

“I really would like to meet with Daniele Prade,” Juric told LaRomaSiamoNoi.

Bendtner has been excellent for Arsenal but he may not be there for too much longer as Roma are keen on landing a striker before their pre-season gets underway.

The Giallorossi are focussed on challenging for major honours next season including the Scudetto and Champions League and thus some much needed fire power will be a welcome addition to the squad.

I think that complete bullshit report gives credence to AC's argument. This came out of nowhere.

I'm just hoping West Ham aquire a quality creative midfielder this summer

Isn't this boring?

I don't quite know what to do with myself without football on, it's weird how much time it does take up that its being absent is notable.

Quick, Krunk'd, say something about Spurs.

It is strange, i'm actually looking forward to preseason friendlies, how sad is that?

I just can't wait for the season to get started, with all the signings we've made/will make, it's bound to be an interesting season, good or bad.

I love the pre-season friendlies, they always get me rather hyped.

I had the chance to go see the Arsenal/Real Madrid and Juventus/Hamburg game at the Emirates, but due to prior engagements I had to pass the chance to my dad and nephew.

They're great because it satisfies a desire for football, but it doesn't really matter if you get beat, so it's without pressure. Truth be told, I can't enjoy games that have pressure. If it's Arsenal or Brazil in an important game, I'm too far on the edge of my seat to relax and enjoy it.

-AC

I love pre season games too

Emirates cup and Amsterdam tournament are great.

Totally agree with you Alpha about not being able to enjoy games that have pressure. I am the same, Thats wy it is great with big international tournaments and being Welsh. We are never in them so I can chill out and enjoy the football.

I ended the season feeling very doubtful about the team I support - Liverpool. They simply don't play the football I remember them playing when I was younger, and that's the only reason I'd support a team, for the football they play.

I'm definitely looking forward to next season, because I enjoy watching football no matter what, I just don't want to back a team that doesn't deserve it.

Knowing my luck, they'll have played mostly mid-table quality football at best for more than a decade, and end up winning the league next year.

I'm joking, I seriously doubt that'll happen.

I dread that possible day more than I dread England winning the World Cup. Liverpool fans generally tend to think their team is the best in the world NOW, much less if they won the league.

-AC

Yeah, that is another annoying thing, you can never criticise a Liverpool player's performance to a fellow Liverpool fan, they just won't listen. Most of them have that huge baseless superiority complex, comparable only to fundamentalist christians.

Gerrard always looks like he has the Sun in his eyes too, bugs the hell out of me.

"Cue the sun..."

It's nice that Spurs have signed Modric, Dos Santos, Gomes, Bostock, and will soon get some geezer named Luis Garcia, but what about that holding midfielder we so desperately need? What about that, huh? Doesn't anyone care about the bees?

I'm happy we've got Huddlestone on a new contract 'cos I think he's ace, but I don't think he's the answer to the problem. We need a Poulson or a Toulalan or an Essien! Get to work, Levy/Commoli/Ramos! Give us what we need!

Also, Liverpool can f*ck off, and leave Keane alone. Same goes for anyone interested in Berbs. Me want him stay.

In other news, why can't Whinger keep hold of his best players any longer?

I still don't get that.

Who has it been? Flamini. Almost definitely Hleb and talk of Adebayor. It's not like everyone is wanting to leave.

Flamini and Hleb's main reasons have nothing to do with Arsenal, where as Adebayor's is clearly the fact that he feels like he is worth £100,000 a week.

-AC

So far, Arsenal is a buying club consider Ramsey and Nasri cost money, while Flamini and Lehmann left on a free transfer.
And if Adebayor goes, Wenger will sign a replacement, may it be Huntelaar, Gomez, Santa Cruz, or Martins.
