I don't think Wenger is having a shot at Spurs, he's having a go at people who have delusions as to what the Carling Cup is.

It doesn't mean anything and it has always been ideal for Arsenal because Wenger uses it to gain experience for players, without a great desire to win. THEY want to win it, but that's fine, they haven't gotta concentrate on the league, Arsene and the first team have.

not even a little shot, just a little one?

yes, people who have delusions... like spurs.

Spurs fans have always been deluded. Then again, with the amount of money they spend every summer, they should. Every year they seem to spend more than Liverpool (this year they spent a good 10 mill more on Modric, Giovanni, Bentley) but never go anywhere. It's quite amusing, really. It'll be even funnier when their sole striker is Darren Bent...

We'll come good. Well, either that, or we'll just be shit. Exciting times.

We have 2 very difficult games next, Sunderland (lots of ex-yids lookin to prove a point, plus no Keane-led team will prove easy to beat) then Chelsea who look strong, very, very strong.

I can't wait! 3 games, 0 points! Woo!

(Obviously, I'm joking. We all know Spurs will beat Sunderland 5-0, and then give Chelsea a lesson in the beautiful game.)

Where have Spurs got Chelsea?

At the Bridge?

They're gonna lose there this season, I can sense it. Who wants to take a bet against that? We'll decide what is at stake.

Just noticed Argentina stuffed Brazil 3:0 in the football semi finals, 2 red cards for Brazil. Wish they had shown this game on TV somewhere.

Did anyone see it?

Nigeria V Argentina final then.

Ya, it was pretty bad. Brazil didn't play Pato and Messi was playing like a madman for Argentina.

Argentina deserved to win really. They played better football and were more accurate while passing the ball.

On the contrary Brazil did not perform at all, Ronaldinho again has been quite disappointing 👇

Surprised Brazil didn´t play Pato, was he injured or what?

No. The coach is a dumbass. He said Pato was playing bad, but he failed to notice he never gave Pato proper wingers. Pato never had a chance to do anything, so the coach pulled him and put in Sibis who could do nothing

I think I´d play Pato no matter what formation, his awesome pace and finishing is always going to give you chances.

Oh well looking forward to the final if its shown anywhere, Messi is looking very hungry 🙂

At the bridge... I can't see us winning, infact, the pessimist in me see's our weak defence and attack minded midfield getting destroyed.

Is King fit? If he is, you have hope. A back four of Hutton, Woodgate, King and Bale is probably the best in the league outside of the top four. And Huddlestone or Zokora can both play in a holding midfield role effectively. If you have a full defence (are Hutton and Bale BOTH injured, actually?), then you're fine. You'll always have firepower with Modric, Bentley, Giovanni, Jenas, etc. in midfield. You just need a couple more strikers ASAP...
Yep, you're ****ed.

Spurs' defence is shit. See record last year for proof, both pre and post-Ramos.

Portsmouth's is better, Everton's is better, Villa's is better. Man City's is probably better, as is Blackburn's.

They should beat Sunderland though.

Spurs' defence has the potential to be very good, however it was hampered by ol' Robinson last year. Also, its apparent porousness is more of a team's fault than solely the defence's; we badly need a quality defensive midfielder to offer protection and allow Dos Santos, Bentley, Modric, et al. to do their thing.

Liverpool proving they're the best again; losing to Middlesbrough until the 84th minute until an own goal got them back.

Spurs have Chelsea at the Bridge next. Might as well say try to get something out of the fourth game.

Thats the sign of a championship winning team, winning even when your not doing to well🙂

Spurs lost to relegation favorite sunderland then, didn´t expect that especially at home. Modric having a great impact then🙂

It's worked well for the past two decades for Liverpool.
