pathetic is a little strong. they've been without 3 of their main midfielders from last season, 2 of them permanently. plus rosicky. of course they arent going to play with the same fluidity when you take those players away.
although that was the worst ive seen them since they went out of all those competitions in one week a couple seasons ago. denilson looked pretty bad at times, too early i guess to throw him in there regularly.
Nothing came from the central midfield. Nothing. Denilson does not deserve to play first team football anymore, and Eboue is not meant to be a distributer. Nasri, Walcott, Ade, etc. were playing fine, but the chances never came because the CMs were not creating, like Fabregas would and has always done for Arsenal. First, Arsenal needs a DM, and second, the team needs a player who can come off the bench and play Cesc's role. Because right now, if he gets injured again for any substantial amount of time, a top four finish will not happen.

Oh dear me the same old lame excuses ,"he and him are injured" .Lets face it, Arsenals system is well known now and most teams are going to have a recipe to destroy it.
Mediocre mid-table is where Arsenal are going to be at.
That's the opposite of Liverpool.
It's where everyone says Arsenal will end up and they never do. Everyone says Liverpool will do great, they never do.
Fabregas etc being injured is not an excuse, it's an actual fact.
Where's the excuse for Liverpool getting played off the pitch by every team they've played so far? Torres isn't injured, nor is Keane.

Who's making excuses? Those are the reasons they played without fluency.
Although I sense an element of hilarious wind-up. If Liverpool were worth watching you'd probably be more concerned about that than other teams' performances.
Robbie Keane, a midrange journeyman, was the difference between Liverpool and the Big Three, not the crushing mediocrity of their squad, and shit manager.

Arsenal played like shit. It's pathetic the team has to rely on Cesc to keep the offense running.
Arsenal's second team/mixed with reserves very nearly beat an almost first team Sevilla, without Cesc. Name another team who could do that.
Arsenal had a shit game against Fulham, it's their second of the season, nothing to worry about. I feel they'll improve.

I agree. That was great. But the reserve CMs were outclassed by Fulham's, which is worrying to me. Hopefully a DM comes in to be alongside Cesc, thne I honestly believe Arsenal will win the title.
Even though they weren't outclassed by Juventus, Seville or Real?
It was just an off day. Denilson couldn't pass to another Arsenal player. Eboue played decently though.

Eboue did play well, and Denilson will be playing Carling Cup games now.
Well I wonder if Arsenal will bottle the CL early this year, they play against FC Twente Enschede tomorrow in a quali. Even though a few top players have gone & their manager teams gone to Schalke, they could be a stumbling block.
Liverpool could go out early as well against Liege who arn´t a bad team, especially as Liverpool havn´t been firing on all cylinders in the past few games, certain aspects of which have already been mentioned on this forum.
