Hell, I'm a Liverpool supporter- what do I know? At least we have plenty of depth in our squad...

Yeah, and what to show for it? At least Arsenal are recognised as one of the greatest teams to watch, what are Liverpool recognised as? If luck were a penis, it would have fallen off from Liverpool riding it too much.

You're right, what do you know?

Where did the depth get you last year compared to Arsenal's supposed "lack"? Arsenal would have won had it not been for massive amounts of injured players and a few objectively wrong decisions. Four points behind Man Utd, five behind winning the league.

Liverpool were out of the title race by November.

What depth? Liverpool haven't even got a surface.

well said, that was good.

man united need a striker so badly. tevez is good and all but he only works well with an out and out striker to play off of, same goes for rooney.

plus rooney is playing so terribly for the past way too long its really starting to piss me off. im sick of him playing under his 'potential'. should be fulfilled by now.

Man U can have Berba if they want... just fork up the ****ing cash, oh wait.. you can't, the interest on your massive debts have gone up. Same problem as Liverpool, only difference is Man Utd are intelligent enough not to still fork out huge wads of cash for players.

Berbatov is a similar type though.

I said last season, if they lost Ronaldo they'd really see how ineffective the rest of the team could be. He brought all their levels up by proxy.

The defence didn't have to work as hard, as the other team was busy protecting against the three-man counter-attacks. Now it's just Rooney and Tevez running about like upmarket Kuyts.

united know they'll get there money back on ronaldo next year

i agree but i think having an out an out striker would go a long way to fixing the problem as well. it just makes things easier when you have an adebayor or a drogba to build an attack with. there isnt a good balance at the moment.

berbatov can play that role as the striker though with everyone playing off him. he can be the in behind but ive seen him play amazingly as the lone guy as well. keane was sent off in a game i think it was last year and he put in one of the best performances ive ever seen by a player as the lone striker. everything he did in that game came off perfectly. granted it wont be like that in every game but ive seen him play the position.

I was looking at it very optimistically...

liverpool wont come close to winning the league unless they get two quality wingers. end of story

I'm pretty sure we need more than 2 wingers, to be honest. Arbeloa may be a fair right back, but I'm still not hugely impressed by Aurelio and, from the little I've seen of him, Dossena's no Roberto Carlos (or even Patrice Evra/ Ashley Cole), and don't get me started on Degen. To be honest, I'm optimistically hoping for LFC to get 3rd place (plus Everton to get relegated), and that's if Arsenal don't continue playing like they are against Newcastle.

Yeah. Notably though, in that game, he still didn't score.

not really, he had the chances. i remember the keeper or the post denied him one at the end of the game. anyways, not the point. we just need someone to play the position. i dont care who it is really, if either tevez or rooney go down then we're really screwed. gimme huntelaar, anybody.

Spurs 1 - 1 Chelsea

Good result for Spurs at the Bridge.

I kept waiting for Liverpool to jiff the win, but they didn't.

Villa deserved more. People will say "But Liverpool never had Torres.", but the form of Villa's defending wouldn't have allowed him anything anyway.

Great playing from Robbie Keane, again, the player who is going to win them the league.

Arsenal should have won 5-0. Should have had an additional penalty, Adebayor could have put one away, 6-0 if you wanna suggest Gallas' miss. 3-0 though, can't complain.

I think I'll survive the draw...

It's just a shame that Everton aren't in the bottom 4 any more.

Might as well enjoy the "success" now.

Good result for Spurs. Chelsea's corner that led to the goal should never have been seeing as Cole was offside after Essien's cannonball hit the bar. I was a bit disappointed with Modric - he ran around like a piece of corn in a hot frying pan, but he never popped. Hopped he gets better...

Anyway, Pavlyuchenko will hopefully do well. I think if Man Utd get Berbatov, they'll win the league - a triangle of Tevez, Rooney and Berbatov would be exceptional. I hear we may be getting Frazier Campbell as part of the deal...
