I don't mind them buying up the epl games (which was generally what Sky monopolised), it's clearly highest bidder wins. But England games cater to such a large percentage of the english public that it's unfair, imo, to ask people to pay a subscription to see the games, especially when they were demanding high prices for highlights as well.
Obviously i'm not the most die-hard of England fans and can quite happily miss the World Cup qualifiers, but I can understand the furor surrounding how few people were able to watch the games... 750,000 and 1,250,000 iirc, compared to the 7-8m average when it was on itv.
