Would be nice if Spurs would stop beating Liverpool and take their frustration about a bad start out on some other teams, gits. 😉

I see Burnley are giant killing again, what is it with them, is it their goal in life to annoy big clubs?

They didn't really kill any giant.

They put out a poor Chelsea side on penalties. Who, had they finished their chances, would have won about 7-1.

Spurs sent out the reserves, and we won.

what you talkin bout maan? That was a FULL strength Spurs team!
King, Woodgate, Bent and Modric are all squad players now.

King hasn't been fit since the hazy Summer of 1824, Modric hasn't done...anything since he's been there.

Pavyluchenko is better than Bent, on form.

Arsenal actually demolished Wigan 3-0 with 11 players that aren't regular first teamers. Most still actually reserves.

Yea, you're right.

Except - King has been playing a lot of league games lately. Modric has been getting a lot of assists lately and his shot hit the post which let Lennon score the 4th against Arsenal. Bent is on form so he's been starting.

Who even mentioned Arsenal's result?

Krunk'd mentioned them implicitly by replying to me.

ok, but it still wasn't Spurs' full team.
not that id care if it was, I don't know why I should be arguing about this, I would be delighted with Spurs winning the cup... you cant exactly complain about guaranteed UEFA cup football by january.

Oh Arsenal are heading form averageness, 0:2 loss at home against the Zulu´s. Someone needs to put the wheels back on 🙂

Do you actually do it because you think you're winding people up, or do you genuinely believe this?

Obviously the answer is that you're trying to be the wind-up guy, but I'd like confirmation.

they actually got outplayed though, that doesn't usually happen with arsenal. its not like they're dominating and getting points stolen away, they're getting well beaten.

They're not "getting" well beaten.

They played uncharacteristically shit yesterday. It wasn't like they played average and got beat.

Stoke wasn't getting "well beat". They scored two scrappy goals from Delap's throw. Don't get me wrong, they're games we shouldn't be losing, but we're not getting "well beaten.".

That's how I know Bicnarok is trying to do the very mature thing of wind me up, simply because Liverpool have been average all season and arguably for nearly two decades, in terms of how they've played. They've just mastered the art of jiff.

Have to agree with AC. Villa didn't even earn their goals. One was Clichy's fault, the other was the piece of shit ref's.

Seeing as AC & Co. jump at every crumb of a chance to attack Liverpool, I thought I´d go down a few levels of daftness to be on paar and pick at the team they seem to think is the bees knees.

They may play nice, lots of passes and jiff all but its goals that count in football, some people don´t seem to realize this fact.

they outplayed them in every area of the pitch and the goals were a result of that, therefore they deserved to win. maybe the ref makes a bad call in the build up of the second goal but you cant fault villa for it. they deserved the 3 points even if arsenal played shit, its not just because they played shit that they lost, villa still has to come and play as well as they did.

they got well beaten when fulham played them as well, didnt deserve anything from that game.

So then how can it be well beaten?

There's a difference between playing well enough to deserve to win, and winning because you played well, and playing better than a shit team, and getting your only goal through a bad call.

Villa outplayed Arsenal, fair enough. They didn't create any worthy scoring chances, though, so to me, that doesn't say they deserved the win. If you play well, create chances and still don't win, then maybe, cos that's just unfortunate.

Villa's 2-0 victory was an own goal and a foul preceding it.

At the end of the day, Arsenal played shit and that's what happens.

There are also people who focus too much on the fact that the score in many of Liverpool's games, and indeed the results of pretty much all their seasons since 1989, do not reflect the way they've played football.

If you're satisfied with your team playing mediocre at best, and getting all the luck in the world, then go for it.

Arsenal are a much better footballing side than Liverpool. They are the team always named if any pundit says they had to put money on watching any team at their best, and most pundits are shit.

So Villa are on good form for thier clash against Hamburg in the Eufa cup. have to watch that

What the hell is wrong with Gomes? All the reports were that he was a class keeper, not a clown!

Well, actually, Ashley Young missed a penalty, which I'm sure you'll agree counts as a pretty good scoring chance. Also, Gareth Barry should have scored (I'm pretty sure he shot straight at Almunia when in on goal).

You can't really say it doesn't usually happen, and then imply it's now happening regularly.

That was the first time I've seen Arsenal 'outplayed' since Boro last season, and in effect they weren't, it was more that they allowed Villa's gameplan to overwhelm theirs (same as with the Boro game). Villa weren't playing better football than Arsenal, they were just incredibly hard working. Having to play a 4-5-1 due to only having Bendtner fit probably didn't help matters, either. Rooney, Berbatov, Tevez out? Drogba, Anelka, Kalou? Torres, Keane, Kuyt (hahaha)?

What is always interesting though, is, as with last season, watch the next Man Utd Villa game. What's the odds it'll be 4-0, and then everyone will say Man Utd can finish teams off, when Villa have decided to play like complete shit? If they played like they did Saturday in every big game, they'd never lose badly, and finish 5th. They managed it against Liverpool, too. So it'll be interesting.
