I think obstinacy would be Wenger's hamartia if he was hard enough to be a hero; Gallas should have been dropped for that debacle last year. The big question now is: Were Arse's whingers just playing along to Gallas stroppy song, or do they want to berate by a different beat?

Is that honestly what your footballing life consists of? Just spending more time focusing on Arsenal than your own team?

friggin hell where did you dig words like "obstinacy" & "hamartia" up (Aristotle fan are we🙂).

I wonder why Gallas spoke out he must have know what would happen, or is he that spontaneous. Or maybe he was in such a dead end he saw no other way to try and solve the situation. Nevertheless there appears to be one player (25 years apparently) who´s pissing everyone off. One bad apple can spoil the pie, this player has to be cut out if Arsenal want to stop the gangrene imo. Who is this 25 year old anyway, Van Persie? A.C your know the squad any Ideas?

That´s like the pot calling the kettle black after your constant hounding of Liverpool. 😱

I comment on Liverpool when it's relevant and when they're playing.

Regarding the drama, I've got no clue. Whatever it is and whoever it is, I sincerely hope they fix whatever needs to be fixed at Arsenal. Something is clearly wrong and Arsenal are better than to be getting the results they are. I don't think anyone would deny that.

As cliche as it may seem, once again injuries have caused damage. Walcott is gone for three months based on a stupid friendly.

With that said, as VVD clearly just pointed out, Arsenal don't have a mythical right to do well, they have to make it happen. For one reason or another, that's not happening right now. Last season lots of shit went against them that was unfortunate or shouldn't have, but this season there's obviously a lot of error.

Hehehe!

(1) It is relvant. (2) They were playing - Lost 3-0 to Man City! Hahahaha!

Don't go all Wenger on us, AC. You can't distort this reality.

Distort what reality?

I'm being honest.

yo uknow this thing with gallas? i dont know everything that was said, but wouldnt you think him coming out and saying that about the team not being brave enough drive them on and push them to get better? christ... i remember keane used to go off on one when he was playing and it was a normal thing.

no idea what was said about the 25 yr old? bit mad though.

3:0 to Man city. I think anyone would agree that somethings wrong at Arsenal, ok a 1:0 loss, but 3 is a thumping.

A shame Walcott´s out, one of my favorite players, better transfer him in the fantasy league now, damn.

Crack-head.

Wenger has put Gallas on the transfer-list. Apparently his comments made such an impact on the squad that they don't want to work with him anymore...

Unless anything official is said, I don't believe it.

-AC

"My name is Arsene Wenger. I am officially putting William Gallas on the transfer list for being a naughty boy, and not playing nicely with his little friends."

That should do it.

Wenger needs to buy a CB and DM in the Winter. If he doesn't, he better be sacked.

arsenal need to buy a natural leader

Why be genuinely retarded, though?

Because I'm pretty sure that even the dumbest football supporter wouldn't say such a thing.

Not much more I can say to such a stupid, ridiculous comment. Wenger is just about the single, truly irreplaceable member of staff at Arsenal F.C.

As soon as Henry left, people said the same thing, and worse. We finished that season three points away from being champions, undeservedly missing out.

Yeh Carson should have dived on the ball or somet instead of standing there like a deer frozen in a cars headlights. Ok the ball bounced in an odd way and Terry could have wellied it away, but the goalkeeper needs to dominate his box.

Lets not forget that Germany never play that good in friendlies, but they looked pretty harmless last night. The only gain from the game was for the manages who had the chance to try out new players.

Terry should have dealt, and he didn't. That Carson had to rush out because Terry tried to raindance the ball back to him from 10 metres away is hardly his fault.

Then I guess I'm dumber, because if Wenger does not show he understands the two most fundamental problems with the team, he has lost it.

Which was stupid to say, since there were people to replace Henry. In the current team, there is not a workable DM and the none of the CBs bar Silvestre have proved their worth.

Now you've gone and done it.

So, what makes you more qualified than Wenger? What makes you believe that because problems have arisen, he needs to be fired? The problems Arsenal have cannot be fixed by simply buying players.

Not really. In the eyes of people that don't realise what the man has done, and continues to do, for the club. Buying isn't the solution to our problems.

1) Hahaha, like Adebayor had proven his worth by the time Henry left. He was still just a promising striker who was being thrust into Arsenal's main striker role.

2) Toure, Gallas and Silvestre are all workable centrebacks.

Djourou is also.

It's a matter of finding the right combo, not buying more players. If anything, the problem is that the players we have NOW haven't truly gelled. Bringing in more isn't going to solve anything.

Let's say Wenger buys a defender, and it doesn't solve the problems, which it won't. Then what?

They fail where defenders fail, because they're human. Man Utd have Ferdinand and Vidic, they still concede from set pieces and wherever else it's possible to concede from.

The one argument for buying should be directed at buying a defensive mid or a new goalie if ANYWHERE, certainly not defense. Arsenal's defense isn't shit, theoretically, it just hasn't worked. Gallas/Senderos worked well enough.

-AC

If the defense doesn´t work then either the players arn´t good enough, they are playing in the wrong positions, are doing the wrong drills in training or preparing for the opponent in the wrong way.

The Manager is responsible for all these things, or is it just bad luck or Jiff.
