im not trying to wind you up, its just my opinion. 'well technically they didnt get outplayed because they werent at their best blah blah blah..' on the day, villa outplayed them. pretty straight forward to me.

gomes is shockingly bad. i didnt think it could get worse for you guys after robinson but wow. you could already make a blooper reel and hes only been there for 15 or 20 games.

to vvd, i mean they dont usually get outplayed but ive seen it a couple times recently. i dont mean they played fancier football when i say outplayed, i mean they played their game and didnt let arsenal play theirs.

Gomes was actually brilliant at PSV.

I still haven't seen the alleged worst howler that he did at Fulham, but all I know is that everyone was laughing, except Spurs fans.

I suppose he's just shit now. Dos Santos hasn't even had a look-in, and we was meant to be as good as Vela.

Dos Santos has been injured for a while, but I still think he'll come good. As for Gomes, he's a quality reflex shot-stopper, but he's lacking a bit of the ol' confidence in the commanding-the-area sense. I haven't totally given up on him yet.

If Vela is so good, why does Bendtner play? He's awful!

Bendtner isn't better than Vela, but he's not awful.

He has great talent, the only time I really get frustrated is when he seems to take too much time, or not pass to an available teammate.

Other than that, he causes problems. He's definitely best with a partner.

Here is a clip of the highlights of that game.

Link

The Gomes o.g goal was deflected of someones head, so it wasn´t that straight forward a catch, especially with the speed and spin of the shot imo.

So most the main players arn´t turning up for the Germany v England match from BOTH teams, its being label the "classic with no stars".

Are they really injured, or are they saving themselves for more important tasks like the CL, PL

Yeah. Just one year ago I would've listed him as one of the 5 best keepers in the world, and probably the best player in the Dutch competition. I've seen him make some phenomenal saves, and he probably saved about 5 to 10 points per season for PSV.

I remember him needing some time to adapt when he first came though he never was as horrible as he is now...

It's win/win for England fans.

If they win, they've beaten Germany.

If they lose, "We had no stars.".

He looked awful in the Arsenal/Man Utd game; he missed about 100 chances!

As for the Germany/England game, it's got 'face saving draw' written all over it.

I can see an "arranged" 1:1 draw coming on, a shame really that such a classic pair up has come to this.

Looking forward seeing how Maradona does as Agentina´s coach. As a player his ability is unquestionable and according to his book he made most decisions at SSC Napoli, who to buy ect. And were successful for a small club So maybe we might see magic again.

He has some of the best talents in world football under his command now, so let's see what he can do.

Messi, Aguero, Gago, Higuain, Mascherano, Tevez etc.

Attacking wise they should be dynamite, but whether Maradona is good defensively is another matter. Who do they even have now? Besides Demichelis.

Milito, Coloccini and Burdisso. Don't know if Samuel or Ayala still play for the national squad but with them added to the list he has a pretty decent defense.

Anyone see the Germany v England game? that West Ham player, Matthew Upson is a bit handy -got man of the match. IRRROONNNSSS!!!!!

2 of, one of the 2 being promising, and one a proven world class player.

He played alone against Ferdinand/ Vidic and caused them a lot of problems, which is good considering Torres is always in Rio's pocket.

wales come away from denmark with a win. watched a fair bit of teh game, and was quite impressed considering there were literally a bunch of kids out there. collison and ramsey played extremely well, myhill in goal was reliable and bellamy actually looked fit and scored the winner.

saw some of england game, downing needs to be played a lot more, wright phillips was good and agbonlahor should be up front in every game. nice mistake by carson and terry though

Yeh Carson should have dived on the ball or somet instead of standing there like a deer frozen in a cars headlights. Ok the ball bounced in an odd way and Terry could have wellied it away, but the goalkeeper needs to dominate his box.

Lets not forget that Germany never play that good in friendlies, but they looked pretty harmless last night. The only gain from the game was for the manages who had the chance to try out new players.

Heinze - Collocini - Demichelis - Zanetti
or
Villagra - Heinze - Demichelis - Zanetti

either way it isnt that bad... whether Maradona coaches them right is another matter.

I don't see the fuss about Gago either tbh.

To be honest I thought Gutierrez was one of their best players.

I had no clue he was Argentinian.

Oh, Gallas...What a captain you have there! Really inspirational for all the little kiddies running around. What do you Goners think? (Hypothetical question, obviously; it presupposes Arsenal fans can think.)

Haw-haw.

PS. He was talking about Van Persie, right?

He's no longer captain.
