that was before he came out with all that garbage in the summer. a few days after the cl final man, what the ****.
you know theres some players that have played for your team that you probably wouldnt like if they didnt play for you but you tolerate because they're scoring every week or playing really well or whatever.
i hope i never said i liked him as a player anyways because i dont, our system just brings out the best in him. there was a time a few years ago when he was cutting diving out of his game, he wasnt so arrogant and he was actually taking players on and putting balls in the box. but ill be happy to see him go now even if we dont win anything without him.
To be honest, I don't think he's that great. It's a bit like Klitschko is the best heavyweight at the moment despite his being not really all that.
He's a really prolific scorer over the course of a season. It's mainly consistency and determination, in my view. That's what separates him from similarly or more highly skilled players.
I don't in all honesty ever expect him to do something beyond belief, like Messi, Ronaldinho, Zlatan, even RvP. I know that's not why he has been (probably rightly) voted #1, but that's my point.
last season he was the best, ill stand by that. he wasnt the best dribbler, but he put in the best individual performances consistently over the course of the season and deserved the award because no one else came close to having the same impact he had.
there was an under the surface dislike that i suppressed last season because i had the goals to distract me. with what happened in the summer i dont care how well he plays, hes still a twatt.
Messi was much better than Ronaldo last season.
He didn't have any impact against big teams, his goals came against nobodies, mostly.
Notice how Liverpool went 2-0 down to Hull City at home in the opening 20 minutes. Can't keep doing that and expect to be regarded as being worthy contenders.
Like I said, though, they've had maybe two or three good games all season. Football wise.
