Football (Soccer)

I usually just go up the pub if I want to watch a match, I try to go to as many as I can but its damned expensive.

I much prefer to watch football in my home than down the pub. It's always so packed. I've only seen 5 football matches live. 4 Newcastle and 1 Aberdeen (against Rangers though so wasn't too bad. Especially as Aberdeen won.)

I´m the same, pubs have background noise and drunken fools who can spoil the experience.

Plus half the time you get heads hovering over the screen.

Hull played too good today, despite getting battered by Burnley.

Kidding, they're shit.

Hmm, technically flawed joke there.

If Arsenal were "useless in Europe", they'd be useless in the league. Their club honours, successive Champions' League appearances and record for being the only club to ever win the best league in the world without losing a game, suggests "useless" isn't quite the right term.

This also applies to the Wenger joke.

I see Barcelona beat Real Madrid in the classico 0:2. They are looking well impressive again, Messi scored again.

Wasn't a fantastically entertaining game, Real were being run ragged.

I have to say, I did chuckle at the Arsenal jokes.

I chuckled at the FA cup semi final today. What a terrible game, decided by the bad pitch causing a defender to slip in the box and a penalty which wasn´t. Glad that Portsmouth will have a good day out to the final before they are relegated, can´t see them beating Chelsea though.

I throughly enjoyed the game today. Bad pitch aside (and it was bad, better than yesterday though) the game was thrillng. Pompey defending with every thing they had for 90% of the game. Rocha was outstanging putting up with a constant onslaught from Spurs' Bale.

Does this not mean that Pompey are in Europe next year? The FA cup winner gets a place in the Europa League do they not? Unless they're already in the Champions League which it means it goes to the runner up in the Cup.

An odd situation really. The final will probably be Chelsea the leagues primus against the last. Not only that, a second division team which is in administration playing in the Euro league. Is there a possibility that Portsmouth will cease to exist (the club not the town🙂)

I think worries of the clubs disappearance are now at an end, or at least I think I heard a pundit saying it.

I wouldn't write Pompey off in the final though, I wouldn't have though they would have through Spurs but they did. Cup games often have results you don't expect. Obviously Chelsea are massive favourites but you know that Pompey are going to want it more.

If it does cease to exist, in all likeliness the spot would be forfeited or played for between the two semifinal losers. It's not that big of a deal.

Now Arsenal are in a much better position. Defeating Spurs should happen, and will put a lot of pressure on Chelsea.
