Yea there are going to be some interesting games.

I think Group H, with Arsenal not looking that threatening and Braga beating Sevilla. Would be interesting to see how that turns out.

I see Bayern Munich have got a free ticket to the next round AGAIN!! & Barcelona might as well send their youth team to beat those apponents.

These draws are fixed I´m sure.

Group A looks like the group of death, Spurs V Werder Bremen will be a good game. Bremen play kamikaze like football, and Spurs have some fast counter attackers, Ie Bale and Lennon.

a sad day. murray would of been england no 1 for sure but injuries prevented him reaching the top and he had to retire early. gutted

Ashley Young to join Spurs rumour. I think it would be great for him and for Spurs.

Talks are also about Keane being included in the deal.

Heard on the news that Spurs might have got Van De Vaart for 8 mil, special offer. They have to wait to see if the FA clear it for some reason.

He´s an excellent player and is probably what Spurs need in midfield, a world class playmaker.

Tbh, I think Spurs' weakest link is that left back. Ashley Young could be on the left wing which would push Bale back in left back.

My idea anyway. Van der Vaart is still a world class player.

Guess Spurs got Van der Vaart after all. Good signing, and cheap too.

He´s better than Modric imo, have you seen him play? In fact I think they would both play well together, intelligent players can mesh.

Spurs have got an excellent squad now and can do really well this season if they all keep on form.

I wonder what sort of taunts opposing fans will come up with, after all it´s a "tempting" name you have to admit "From the fart" 🙂

Modric and VDV together with Huddlestone as a DM would probably work great.

Spurs still have a bit of a left winger problem though. Bale is great, but he's needed as left back, get rid of Ekotto.

Bale should just play as left winger, and put some defender in behind him. He is one of the most promising players there is at the moment imo, at times unplayable.

England looked good last night, Rooney was like a playmaker and did it well imo.

I noticed an odd result. Portugal 4:4 Cyprus

Rooney is best behind another striker. That was the problem with the Hungary game. Imagine what the 2006 Portugal game would've been like had we had Rooney behind Crouch with say Lampard or Gerrard out.

Gerrard has to be in, he showed pashion and fights & was actually good in the world cup. Lampard is also an excellent player for Chelsea, but not for England imo.

Crouch should be playing every game imo, he scores a lot of goals. It´s only his size which keeps him out I think, because he looks odd.

I just use the "Capello is an idiot/old/Italian" excuse for Crouch being out. Crocuh has scored more goals per game than Rooney for England, plus he has an awesome attitude and personality.

I would love to see more Crouch-Rooney or Crouch-Defoe but Rooney-Defoe is pretty cool for now, although I do expect us to struggle with Switzerland, they're FIFA rating is around the same as Egypt and Mexico and Crouch scored I think 2 goals against both of them.

I would also love to see Lampard without Gerrard, or how about this, for once have Gerrard and Lampard in their club positions. You look at Chelsea and Liverpool games in the last 4 years, Lampard has played mostly in LCM, Gerrard in RCM, so why the **** in England are they the other way around? Might seem minor but I think that might be a bit important as Gerrard clearly can't play on the left side of the pitch.

I say England should try a game without giving Rooney a start. Granted he set a couple of things up in the Bulgaria game but he also gave away possession a good dozen times. The man simply isn't firing at the moment.

Crouch shouldn't be in. He's good for a second option off the bench, but he doesn't deserve a position over Rooney or Defoe. England shouldn't be playing with two strikers anyway. They should put Rooney up front with Gerrard being a supporting striker and Lampard with a DM behind. Put Walcott and Johnson on the flanks, with Walcott having a more advanced position. That would work.
