Arsenal looked poor on Sunday because Liverpool were there for the taking, and they only put Liverpool under pressure for the final few minutes or so. I do take back what I said previously however, Arsenal do have a chance to win the title, but only if both Chelsea and Man U have poor runs at some point in the season. Arsenal don't have the strength to keep up with a rampant Chelsea or Man U firing on all cylinders

But can stuff giants like Blackpool 6:0 🙂

Walcott has so much potential, technical ability and pace, deadly if he can keep his form.

Should be England first choice imo.

With the likes of Lennon, Young, Milner and Johnson, we have enough wingers.#

Although, I'd prefer Walcott to Milner.

Didn't say they weren't strong enough to beat a weak team by a few goals, but that over the course of a season they don't have the strength in depth to keep up and would have to rely upon Chelsea or Man U doing poorly at some point (which is probably true for all the teams in the Prem)

Arsenal 6 - 0 Blackpool
Wigan 0 - 6 Chelsea
Newcastle 6 - 0 Aston Villa
Howay the lads!!!

Needless to say I am pretty happy!

Wigan and Blackpool you expect to concede that many, but Villa?

Especially against Newcastle who just got promoted.

Was shocked at that result. Made up with the Fulham score.

Are there extra points for scoring loads of goals this season or what?

There has been 35 goals this weekend already in the premier league. It'a amazing. that's an average of nearly 4 a game.

There has also been 110 in the 36 football league matches, that still a respectable 3 a game.

Very heavy goal scoring weekend.

AND NEWCASTLE GOT 6 OF THEM!! F**K YEAH!

Not only that, 3 games with 6:0 goals. It´s a sign, the number of the beast. Football is the beast misleading the world aghhhhh.

It might have something to do with teams adopting Chelsea's attack style of play.

I think it´s more down to a big class difference between some teams, although Newcastle v Villa was a suprise, as you´d expect Villa to do the stuffing not receive it.

Liverpool got a hint of how well their season could go with the 3:0 thumping by Man City.

I think people are really underating Newcastle... I'm not just saying this becasue I'm a fan, but the team has really developed since their relegation. Especailly the foreign players... Gutierrez. Coloccini and Jose Enrique were pitiful in the relegation season but have really grown in to the team. There is also no doubting that Carroll is a mean striker.

I'm not saying that Newcastle are at all contenders for anything above mid table... but they're better than people are giving credit for. For the first 20 minutes they were holding their own against Man Utd, even had some chances... Then they simply gave them too much space.

Put it this way, I'd have never expected Aston Villa to give Newcastle a stuffing at St James' Park. Newcastle haven't lost a home game for over a year now.

Do you think Andy Carroll could be a England (A team) contender, he´s certainly a good finisher with and eye for the right position.

I think your right about upper mid table, once they´ve gotten a few games under their belts they will have adapted to the PL well I think.

Andy Carroll is a great shout for a future England shirt... So long as he can keep his temperament in check. He is still young though (even though I swear he doesn't look 21), hopefully it will come in time.

Andy Carroll would probably be great for England, I still wanna see more of Crouch though, as he is still a brilliant footballer. Seen enough of Rooney though.

I hear that Scotland want Carroll though as his gran is Scottish and therefore qualifies.

What do you think of this Spoon? For Scotland he'd probably put them in the Euros.

Players seem to swap international duty all the time... So it's always a possibility.

It´s getting out of hand though, that Arteta (Spanish) can qualify to play for England because he´s been a resident so long, they mentioned it on MOTD and he said he is interested.

I completely agree,
