X-men vs Justice League

whats the big deal with pre crisis supes?

lol. When people say PreCrisis, they don't mean the 1940's 'leap over tall buildings' Supes.

The mean the Galaxy destroying, invulnerable, translightspeed, able to travel through time and make-things-disappear-by-flying-around-them-really-quickly, able to turn invisible by vibrating on the spot, able to phase through tings by doing the same, able to see ALL of the electromagnetic spectrum, able to throw planets like billard balls, Super Super Superman.

That is what they mean.

After Crisis on Infinite Earths he couldn't do half of the stuff he used to. 🙁

I know loadsa people are probably glad about that, but I for one think that Superman should be unbeatable. Or damn close to it.

He's the Original and Best.

oh. So pre crisis superman is pretty much as indestructable as superman prime?

See, when people say precrisis superman i was thinking exactly of the grey haired superman lol.

Superman is already unbeatable isnt he? I mean he came back to life in less than 20 issues. In the comic world thats damn impressive. lol

lol! True true.

And yeah, PreCrisis is more powerful than Prime, IMO.

😑 WHAT!! that is insane. Superman prime is already second only to spectre. i mean holy shit. That is either to much power or just enough 😂

lol, it's just enough for me. 🙂

PreCrisis Supes was very inconsistantly written. Sometimes he'd get beaten by a gorilla - at other times he'd fly back in time and throw planets at people.

If you take his worst examples, he's fairly crap. Take his best and he's in-vin-cible.

and just where does it say that...

or is this like Supe Prime's imaginary sword....

he's superman who hung out in the sun for thousands of years, + a GL ring.

If we are talking everyone that has been in the x-men, and everyone that has been in JLA excluding superman...X-men.

this is wrong. read the thread...

I did read it. And unfortunately it doesnt specify anything. Saying the x-men can mean many different people from many different ear's, the same for JLA.

"I am fire and life incarnate!"

Sans Jean Grey, the JLA wins most likely, depending on the teams. Jean would make this unwinnable for the entire JLA.

I thought we came to a consensus on this 😕

I agree 😉

Come on guys. Anymore opinions? This is pretty interesting. 🙂

Not much more can be said. If it's both entire teams, the X-Men could win on numbers alone, but that's a chance. If the Phoenix is present, its an auto-win for the X-Men. Cheap, but true.

Why dont we add Magic to this battle............. Fate anyone ??

How about Zatanna?

Actually, won't Phoenix just destroy them?

Well, we've got Doop on the X-Men. Not to mention Magik, Forge, and a host of other magicians.

Zatanna is powerful, but she couldn't dream of facing the Phoenix. I don't think we should include Jean. It's not that she isn't an integral member, but she's like an auto-win handicap for the X-Men. It's sorta cheap.

Speaking of Forge, what's the deal with that guy? The only thing I know is that he can build anything he can think of. That's a magic based power?

He's also a very powerful Shaman with magical heritage. He defeated the Adversary, a nigh omnipotent extra-dimensional entity.

Wow. Cool.

I'm pretty sure X-statix members are not considered X-men. Neither are all the affiliates (like Fantomex, etc.) and spinoff members/young mutants (the students from Academy X, Paige, Stacy X, Darkstar, etc.)

Just like Generation X were not considered actual X-men, but simply mutants associated with the X-men "brand".
