JLA and X-men cater to different people with different tastes.

JLA is more focused on protecting Earth against whatever menace comes up this time. They are heroes, everybody knows it and their enemies are of a suitable strength to challenge them.

X-men are focused on mutants and what sets mutants apart from humans. They are attempting to be a bridge of diplomacy between humans and mutants, while preventing too many mutants ruining relations. Their challenges are suitable to challenge them.

However if you take an enemy from JLA and put against X-men, you'd prolly see the X-men get wiped out, while JLA would have no challenge in smacking up an X-villain. That's also why comparisons are never really the best thing in the world, because they operate on different scales.

I think both the 2 comic book houses are great, but trying to give explanation to comic book's characters origins is no sense.

Then you insulted the HULK and you were making fun of Hulk, Spider-man and the Fantastic Four. Oh yeah, you have to like the X-Men and the FF and the HULK, yes the HULK, to be a fan of Marvel.

God, I like Daredevil but not many of the ones above. Does that make me Marvel hater? 🙄

And for your information, I do like Marvel more then DC. But I like some characters more then others.

There are a few Marvel characters that I don't like much but I don't insult them like that K3VIL guy or make fun of them. No...I actually happen to read other threads then this one...

lets put it this way, both in comics(elseworld) and cartoon the JLA took over earth virtually uncontested in a few months....X-men however, no matter how powerful they are continue to live in fear and seclusion from hate groups, gov agents, and mutant terrorists. lets see the Friends of Humanity show up at the leagues doorstep talking bout they wanna kill em and see what would happen? or let the gov. try to put in a meta human registration act and see how fast WW crush all thier heads 😄

The X-Men have done that too. Everyone seems to think they are street level because they have a couple of "street level" arcs in between the big stuff.

The X-Men are superheroes, and the JLA are icons..in thier respective unis.

The x-men certainly aren't "street level superheroes", whatever else they might be. Theyre heroes on the country-wide/world scale, sometimes more. They certainly dont deal with urban crime like you seem to think they do. 🙄 😮‍💨
