Bruce dropped wing chun quite quickly actually in favor of boxing. Have you ever seen Jeet Kune Do up close in real life? It's boxing and wrestling.

Several people own schools who can't fight worth shit.

That stuff is a good bit back. I might pull it up later but I only have time to type these responses right now.

Chuck actually has a tournament record unlike Lee. Even still, Chuck mostly did point competitions. He never stepped into the ring with real fighters like Bill Wallace back then. Bill would have utterly handed Chuck or Lee their asses. Chuck is still primarily an actor, although he has more backing him than Lee does.

Yes, great fighters can be actors like Benny Urquidez. However, people him actually have fights to back them up. Bruce doesn't.

If any of you believe Bruce could compete with the real fighters of his time, like Benny or Bill, you are sadly mistaken.

I said fighters usually crosstrain in boxing to show how important boxing in fighting. I never said he was more than a boxer. Boxing is still a martial art rather you want to accept it as such or not. Just because it doesn't involve flipping around like a lunatic like in some movie renditions of styles, doesn't mean it isn't a martial art.

Totally on point every word..

The only thing bruce lee has is third hand information feats most of which has not been seen by any one passed down through generations. Stuff like a thousand pushups in a minute etc.

LOL now that is something news worthy.

Yes. I trained in Ving Tsung for a while. My Sifu was pretty clear that having ving tsun as a basis would make learning Jeet Kune Do substatially easier, because there was so much incorporated, both physically and philosophy-wise.

Ther is ALOT of boxing/grappling in Jeet Kune Do, but saying that Lee 'dropped' ving tsun is an exaggeration.

I stopped before I got up to moving on to Jeet Kune Do. I got too busy. I regret stopping though.

And this proves/disproves..?

I can wait.

I'd only take a few well placed kicks to the chest or face to make Ali or anyone for that matter go down. Go watch some ultimate fights, it's rare that fighters are able to get a solid connecting kick in, but when they do the fight is over.

I also disagree about not many people beating Bruce, todays top MMA fighters (Hughes, Liddell, Coutre, Ortiz etc.) could easily give Bruce a run for his money.

Ortiz, Liddell yes, they are among those few.
At the same time it'll take few or even one well placed punch if no gloves to the face to knock anyone out.

Ali wins. Why? Because we haven't seen any REAL feats from Lee. Ali has shown time and time again he can take a beating and come back with a vengeance.

Probably because he died early. He wasn't going to make movies his entire life, what do you think he would have done after?

Well, he wouldn't have become a UFC fighter, that's for sure.😛

Ali via KO round 1

Actually, the intention is indeed to disable someone that way. Bones get broken all the time in competition. Mirko "Crocop" Filipovic broke Vanderlei Silva's ribs with a left kick in Mirko's first Pride fight. Mirko also had a rib of his broken when he fought against Ernesto Hoost in K-1. Hoost even deliberately aimed for the rib when it was broken. Crocop also shattered the lower portion of Bob Sapp's jaw in a K-1 match. These are injuries are only a few from just one fighter. All fighters are attempting to break the bones of another fighter when they fight, but bones are much more resilient to breaks than most people think.

Bruce also has nowhere near enough strength to break Ali's bones with a strike. Most bone breaks are done by heavyweights anyway.

What? They fought a third time? I have been into Pride and K-1 lately so I haven't kept up with most of the UFC fights but Chuck vs Randy is always worth watching in my opinion. I'll check it out.

stick to Pride and K1, i have not been impressed by any UFC events since Chuck vs Randy 1.

and by the way:

Pride next event fightcard thus far:

Fedor Emelianenko vs Mark Hunt.

and

Fedor Emelianenko vs Bruce Lee = Fedor via Murder round 1

Ali would win.

MA aint got NUTHIN on BL...

Bruce Lee even beat Chuck Norris

but he couldnt beat jet li.

He probably could. He trained under 5 masters of various martial arts and perfected them all.

jet li is faster than bruce. he also is the master of several styles. it'd be a heck of a fight, though.

Yeah, literally "Old School versus New School" style...

the edge in power goes to bruce.

Of course, man. He's the patriarch of martial arts.
